Frankie may not be your average working dog, but she certainly knows how to get the job done. The French bulldog's sheep herding skills have recently gone viral on TikTok.
In a clip shared to @frankiethefrenchkelpie, Frankie can be seen leaping onto a sheep's back, then hopping from one to another. This tactic is used to push the sheep onto a ramp that is on the back of a truck.
The task has impressed viewers on more than one occasion but recently one video racked up 4.1 million views.
French bulldogs are eager to please their owners and are "relatively" easy to train, according to the American Kennel Club (AKC). It looked as if Frankie's owner has two other larger dogs that work on the farm, so perhaps they helped speed up the training process.
It turns out that dogs like Frankie aren't just a hit online. For the first time in three decades, Labradors no longer top a ranking of Americans' most favored breeds. In 2022, the French bulldog became the new top dog, according to the ALC's most popular dog breed list.
Frenchies are smart dogs and "they can fit into various different lifestyles," according to the AKC. They're described as "adaptable" canines that are a good fit for an apartment because of their size.
However, Frankie has proved that size doesn't matter, and it turns out she isn't the only one. Newsweek previously published an article about a Frenchie named Lync who seems to love riding sheep. And it isn't just dogs that like to get involved with farm work. Felines do too.
An orange cat owner previously told Newsweek that her pet likes to "think he is the boss on the farm." She said he tries to chase the sheep, cattle and chickens. So maybe a Frenchie working on a farm isn't so unusual after all.
So far, the footage of Frankie in action has amassed 26,100 likes and over 280 comments. The owner responded to one user and called Frankie "[the] hardest worker on the farm."

"No way that is a frenchie thinking he is border collie," said another commenter.
Another user referred to the technique as "crowd surfing."
But it seems not all Frenchies are cut out for farming, one owner said, writing: "Damn. My Frenchie is such a diva he makes me carry him if the ground is too muddy."
Newsweek reached out to @frankiethefrenchkelpie for comment via TikTok and could not verify the details of the case.
