It's been a few years since Caroline Ewing rescued her Staffordshire bull terrier, Scrappy, and although the pup was very nervous and reserved at first, she has certainly shown that she's not afraid to be herself now.
Whenever 4-year-old Scrappy goes outside, Ewing enjoys a few minutes of peace and quiet inside the house, that is, until Scrappy is ready to come back in. That's when she becomes "the most dramatic thing" her owner has ever seen.
Scrappy is always let back inside as quickly as possible, but that doesn't stop her from banging on the door theatrically, as Ewing told Newsweek that she "body-slams the door almost every time" to prove her point.
After witnessing Scrappy's antics daily, Ewing, from Kansas City, decided it was finally time to share it on social media, so on November 3 she posted a compilation video showing how Scrappy paws at the door theatrically. The clip was posted on the dog's TikTok account (@scoobyandscrappydoo) and it's already gone viral with more than 389,000 views and over 100,000 likes in a matter of days.

"She does this almost every time, but especially when it's time for her walk. I've always thought it was hilarious," Ewing continued.
"She is so dramatic all the time. She fusses when she's snuggling with me and if I move slightly, she lets out big sighs. She's my favorite thing. I give her pretty much whatever she wants, but she's still so out of pocket sometimes."
There could be many reasons why Scrappy behaves so frantically when it's time to come back inside. The American Kennel Club (AKC) explains that there could be negative feelings she associates with this practice, or it could be genetics that determine how nervous, shy or fearful a dog might be.
In those instances, the AKC recommends desensitizing a dog to anything they perceive negatively, and instead turning the experience into a positive one. Turning it into a game or rewarding calm behavior with a treat can go a long way to shaping their reactions.
While Scrappy may be the smaller of the two dogs in their home, alongside her brother Scooby, she's usually the most vocal. Ewing believes that Scooby, 3, is mixed between a Great Dane, German shepherd and a mastiff, but he doesn't have half the energy that his sister does. He may be younger and bigger, but he much prefers observing her dramatic behavior without joining in.
Ewing has loved the response the video has received online, joking that Scrappy "loves all of her fans" that she's amassed ever since.
She continued: "I hope she makes other people laugh just as much as she makes me laugh. I know she would love to brighten somebody else's day. When I adopted her, she was a shell of a dog, and it's been so fun to see her personality shine as she enjoys a loving home."
TikTok users can't get enough of Scrappy's over-the-top behavior, leading to more than 160 comments on the viral video so far. One comment reads: "Like they've never been inside before."
Another person responded: "It's the dog inside yawning at her dramatics."
"This is the most dramatic movie I've seen in years," joked another TikToker.
