Fez and Ashtray were paid a long overdue visit by the police in the Euphoria Season 2 finale, but nobody could have predicted how events were going to unfold, or the tragic outcome.

At the beginning of the series, it was revealed Ash had killed Mouse (played by Meeko Gattuso) the drug dealer Fez (Angus Cloud) owed money too with a hammer and as expected, people had begun to question his whereabouts.

In the end, Mouse's body was eventually found and all fingers pointed at Fez and Ash. Newsweek has everything you need to know about the young actor who played Ash in Euphoria and the outcome of his fate.

Did Ash Die in The Euphoria Season 2 Finale?

Sadly, it is looking very likely that Ash did die in the Euphoria Season 2 finale.

Having recently killed Mouse and with the police searching for those responsible, things were sure to take a turn for the worst when Custer (Tyler Chase), the boyfriend of Faye (Chloe Cherry), became a police informant.

Custer had agreed to become part of the sting operation to arrest Fez and Ash and quickly clocking on to the reality of what was happening, Ash decided to arm himself with a knife.

When it became pretty clear that Custer was recording their entire conversation and Faye's attempts to frame Laurie for killing Mouse failed, Ash decided to act. Ash only knows how to deal with things one way and that is through violence.

He savagely stabbed Custer in the neck and Fez silenced his screams, so the police could not hear what was going on. The last words the police would have heard would have been Fez shouting: "Ash, don't!"

Covered in blood, Fez instructed Ash to wash his hands and run, stating he would take the fall for Custer's death, but Ash had his own plans. Instead, he took all of the weapons stashed in the house and locked himself in the bathroom, ready to engage in a shootout with the police, who were moments away from storming the building.

As Fez banged on the bathroom door, begging for Ash to come out, the police arrived and gunfire broke out, with Ash firing relentlessly from the bathroom, even hitting Fez in the stomach and taking out a police officer.

In the end, a red laser was seen aiming at Ash's head as he looked Fez in the eye for what could be the last time. Seconds later a quiet gunshot was heard and the sound of somebody's body falling downplayed out.

However, Ash's death was actually not seen on screen, which has given fans hope he may actually still be alive.

Judging by Fez's reaction and the way things played out, it is more than likely Ash is dead but that has not stopped fans and Ash actor Javon Walton himself hoping for a different outcome.

Speaking to Esquire, Walton shared he was hoping for a Fez and Ash reunion in Season 3.

He shared: "I just hope he's alive. Because I'm sure he didn't just get shot one time by taking cover in the bathtub and getting shot through the wall.

"You know that Fez needs Ash, and Ash needs Fez. They both really rely on each other, so it's going to be really hard for both of them.

"With Fez in jail, I feel like he's going to get out no matter what. I don't know how, but I feel like he's definitely going to be able to get out somehow and Ash is definitely going to find a way back to him.

"That's the person he cares about most to him. That's what I would want to happen, is for Ash and Fez to reunite. People love the Ash and Fez duo. The Fesh train!"

Fans have also been sharing their theories online about Ash still being alive, far-fetched or not, there is hope.

One fan tweeted: "IT WAS ALL JUST FAYES IMAGINATION NONE OF THIS HAPPENED AND ASH IS STILL ALIVE #Euphoria"

A second fan shared: "Ok but like not all headshots end in death right ?!? Like maybe ash fell into a comma?!?!"

A third fan added: "All I have to say is we didn't see ash really get shot nor did we hear the gun go off and when they picked fez up off the ground they didn't show Ash dead or alive THATS ALL IM SAYING. #EuphoriaFinale"
