Friends fans have been reveling in a welcome trip down memory lane this week, following the release of the classic sitcom's long-awaited reunion special.
And even the show's stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox got swept up in the nostalgia on Thursday, when they gushed over a selfie of castmates Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer.
Kudrow took to Instagram to share the heart-warming snap, which showed her smiling alongside Schwimmer as they posed in a kitchen.
Captioning the image, Kudrow wrote: "Tonight....That's how long we waited to get together. Thanks @_schwim_."
Aniston—whose 2019 debut Instagram post of herself reunited with her co-stars earned more than 16 million likes—responded: "Love you two so much!"
Jumping into the love-fest on the image-sharing platform, Cox echoed that sentiment, as she commented: "Awww I love you guy!!!"
The post came as their highly anticipated HBO Max Friends: The Reunion—alternatively titled The One Where They Got Back Together—hit screens.
Hosted by James Corden, the one-off retrospective saw all of the show's main stars—Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry—get together again on screen for the first time since their hit NBC show ended in 2004.
As they reminisced about their time on the Warner Bros. lot, Aniston and Schwimmer confessed to having had crushes on one another in the early days of the show.
Aniston's Rachel Green and Schwimmer's Ross Geller captivated viewers during the show's 10-year run with their on-off romance.
But due their real-life romances, the two never took their simmering chemistry beyond the confines of the small screen.
"The first season I had a major crush on Jen," Schwimmer, 54, confessed. "And I think we both, at some point, were crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that."
As such, the co-stars' first kiss would happen in front of rolling cameras, as they filmed scenes for Season 2 episode "The One Where Ross Finds Out" in the show's coffee shop, Central Perk.
Aniston recalled: "I remember saying at one point to David, 'It's going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television!' Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop."
She went on: "So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."
The special also included a host of stars who were not involved in the original run of Friends, including Lady Gaga, Cindy Crawford, Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne.
