Neutering pets is a procedure that most vets recommend, and even though it benefits them in the long run, it definitely hurts on the spot. A dog named Forest refusing to walk to his owner's car after getting neutered has melted hearts online.
In a viral video shared on TikTok on Wednesday by the dog's owner, under the username Niyaesperanza, the golden retriever can be seen looking sad while sitting down outside the vet's office, refusing to walk back to the car after getting neutered.
In the post, the owner explained why she didn't want to push him: "He's just sitting here. But I don't want to hold him because he's broken, they just cut him open."

Later in the same video, an update shows the stubborn dog laying down, still refusing to make a single step. About 10 minutes later they finally made it to the car, and the owner said: "Getting him in was so sad, he was so clumsy."
The caption said: "Big day for my lil drugged up puppy."
Neutering dogs brings lots of benefits to the animal, according to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).
It prevents females from coming into (mating) season and attracting unwanted male attention which can lead to pregnancy or false pregnancies. It prevents the risk of testicular cancer in males and uterus infections and cancers in females, and it also reduces urine marking and roaming in male dogs.
Neutering also reduces the risk of theft, so dogs cannot be stolen for breeding, and it also avoids expensive vet bills due to problems during or after pregnancy and birth, as well as the medical care that might also be needed by their offspring.

The video quickly attracted animal lovers from across the platform, receiving over 4.2 million views and 558,600 likes so far.
One user, Yeeaarrmm, commented: "He's like 'put em back." And Ghost Rider said: "I feel like I forgot something." Brayden added: "I ain't leaving without [them]."
Another user, Taylor Kornstein, wrote: "My pup ran out surgery, no cone on, totally sober & hopped in my car. When I asked the vet why he didn't have a cone he said 'he didn't want one."
The one said: "Took bros Manhood how you expect him to react." And RGII_68 wrote: "He won't be talking to you for a while."
