'Hollywood's Biggest Night': What We Know So Far About the 2022 Oscars

In a little more than a month, Hollywood's biggest stars will come together to celebrate another successful year of movies.

It was just announced that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will require most to show proof of vaccination or at least two negative COVID tests in order to attend. However, those who are performing and presenting will be tested many times, but do not have to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

When are the Academy Awards and what channel?

The Academy Awards is set to premiere on March 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on ABC. It will take place in Hollywood, California at the Dolby Theater. E! and ABC normally show Red Carpet live streams before the event, including head-to-toe glam shots of celebrities and interviews.

Who is nominated?

Kristen Stewart (Spencer), Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Nicole Kidman (Being The Ricardos) and Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers) have all scored themselves a nomination under the Best Actress category.

Andrew Garfield (tick, tick...BOOM!), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog), Javier Bardem (Being The Ricardos), Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth) and Will Smith (King Richard) are nominated for Best Actor.

Films nominated for Best Picture are Nightmare Alley, Don't Look Up, Dune, Drive My Car, Belfast, Licorice Pizza, The Power of The Dog, West Side Story, King Richard and CODA.

The Power of the Dog has scored 12 nominations this year: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing and Best Sound.

This year's hosts are Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, and Regina Hall, as announced via Variety on February 14. The news was officially announced the next morning on Good Morning America.
