Jordan Peterson Takes Aim at Joe Biden

Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson lashed out at President Joe Biden, saying he should be prepared to be beaten by Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Trump easily declared victory in Iowa on Monday night, winning in all but one of the state's 99 counties and crushing his closest opponent by roughly 30 points. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis placed second with 21 percent of the vote and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley followed closely in third with 19 percent.

All eyes are now on New Hampshire, where the primaries will be held on January 23. The contest will be particularly competitive as Trump is not expected to repeat his landslide Iowa win.

Peterson is known for being outspoken about his controversial takes on everything from transgender rights to white privilege, and he has previously backed Trump to secure election success. Now, the 61-year-old has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to vent his frustrations over U.S. politics—and he aimed his ire at the current president.

"You @TheDemocrats did everything you could to keep @realDonaldTrump in the race because you thought you could defeat him," he wrote.

"Well, he's back. With a vengeance. And you won't. And it's on you @JoeBiden and your blind equity-minions. Welcome to 2024. Strap in and pray."

His post was in response to a tweet from Biden that read: "Looks like Donald Trump just won Iowa. He's the clear front runner on the other side at this point.

"But here's the thing: this election was always going to be you and me vs. extreme MAGA Republicans. It was true yesterday and it'll be true tomorrow."

People took to the comment section of Peterson's post to echo his sentiment and throw their support behind Trump. They also took the opportunity to disagree with what Biden said in his original tweet.

"The redemption tour for Donald Trump will be enjoyable to watch. The meltdowns from 2016 will pale in comparison to what's ahead," one person wrote.

"He thinks it's him vs maga but it's actually him vs the US people. He's a fraud and criminal who should be in prison for his crimes against humanity and active efforts to undermine the rights of his constituents. It just so happens Trump is their chosen champion," another X user wrote, referring to Biden.

A third person added: "Trump 2024 is going to happen."

However, not everyone agreed with the conservative media commentator.

"Trump has no path to 270 and people like me won't vote for him, ever," someone wrote in reference to the fact that it takes 270 electoral votes to win the 2024 presidential election.

"Sounds a bit like it would be better if he wasn't in the race. This is based on what exactly because it can't be his real life record which was really good?" someone else asked.

"I don't think you under want what back with vengeance means, he under performed by all of his own metrics," another person added.

When Peterson appeared on Piers Morgan's eponymous show on Talk TV on January 8, he predicted Trump would defeat Biden and win the 2024 presidential election. He also claimed that no political figure has been more falsely and thoroughly "vilified" than the former president.

"I think personally—and this is just a guess because what do I know—I think the most likely outcome is that Trump is the next president," he said.

"That's what it looks like to me so I think that is unfortunate because he is so divisive—that's the problem."
