An affectionate exchange between King Charles III and the Princess of Wales has featured in a new viral video looking at the relationship between the royal father and daughter-in-law on social media site TikTok.

Charles and Kate have been photographed together on a number of occasions throughout the princess' relationship and marriage to the monarch's eldest son, Prince William.

Charles' affection for Kate was pulled into focus last month when he referred to her as his "beloved daughter-in-law" during a speech given at a state banquet in Kenya. The country had been the setting for Prince William's proposal to his future bride back in 2010.

Uploaded to TikTok by user royal_secrets24, footage of Charles' speech has been featured in a compilation video of the king's public exchanges of affection for Kate over the years.

One particular clip focuses on a gesture offered to the princess in 2022, during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations given in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.

On June 3, 2022, the senior members of the royal family gathered at St Paul's Cathedral to attend a special jubilee service of thanksgiving and before the ceremony began, news cameras covering the event captured Charles blowing Kate an affectionate kiss in greeting.

The video, captioned "My beloved daughter-in-law," has been viewed over 190,000 times on TikTok so far and received in excess of 15,000 likes and 200 comments, many of which have praised the royals and their interactions.

"Princess Catherine is loved by all, so deserving of the accolade from king Charles," wrote one user.

"I think they have a mutual love and respect for each other," posted another, with a further comment reading: "He certainly got lucky with one of his daughter in laws. Kate is a treasure."

Also included in the viral video is footage of the king and princess greeting each other at public events, including the 2021 premiere of the James Bond movie, No Time To Die, and a Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey in 2022.

The Christmas service was the second such event to be hosted by Kate at the abbey, which was also the venue of her 2011 royal wedding.

Named "Together at Christmas," the community carol service brought together people from around Britain connected with the princess' charity work and was also attended by senior members of the royal family.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were guests of honor and Kate greeted both at the doors of the abbey with her signature deep curtsy which has become the basis of a number of separate social media posts and videos over the years.
