'The Kissing Booth 2': Big Question Fans Have After Seeing the Netflix Film

The Kissing Booth 2 is currently riding high at the top of the Netflix movie charts, but that does not mean it has been universally popular.

Netflix viewers have been taking to social media to ask some big questions about the sequel to The Kissing Booth.

Twitter users asked why, for example, Elle (Joey King) chooses Noah (Jacob Elordi) over Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), and what is really going on between Noah and Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers)?

Why does Elle choose Noah?

The Kissing Booth 2 introduced Marco, the all-singing, all-dancing love interest who joins Elle's school and leaves her questioning her relationship with Noah after the pair of them kiss after taking part in the Dance Dance Revolution tournament (side note: who cares enough about Dance Dance Revolution in 2020 to give away a $50,000 prize to the winners of that tournament?!)

Though she eventually chooses Noah, viewers have been left questioning why she chose the more boring choice. One Letterboxd user, for example, made his thoughts clear when he put the movie in a list titled "netflix romcom spends 90 minutes establishing a new love interest whos much more charismatic and attractive, only for the lead to go to their original wetwipe of a partner in the end, making it a waste of my time and yours."

Among the Twitter users who were #TeamMarco was someone who tweeted: "Marco is clearly better dont even @ me," and another who wrote: "Noah ain't s*** and my guy Marco didn't deserve all that."

Another Twitter user summed up their problem with Kissing Booth 2: "i need netflix to stop throwing in FINE ethnic men just for the female protagonist to reject them & pick the toxic yt man whose only character traits include being tall & non-communicative."

Meanwhile, another tweet argued that the two are basically the same: "is it just me or do marco and noah from the kissing booth 2 look like the same boy but in different font."

What's really going on between Noah and Chloe?

In the movie, one of the major obstacles in the way of Noah and Elle's happiness was the former's friendship with Chloe, the impossibly cool girl who swears she is just friends with Noah, and yet clearly did something so vigorous with him that one of her earrings ended up under his bed.

One fan wrote of this: "Tbh Chloe instigated a lot. She was doing THE MOST. I don't blame Elle for feeling the way she did smh. But, Elle was lowkey the root of all the problems smh."

Another pointed out that the pair probably needed to cut down on the PDA if they did not want Elle to be suspicious. They tweeted: "Lets not forget how Noah said to Chloe "you're good for me" and made googley eyes? and put his arm around Chloe like wut tf."

"I don't care what nobody say Noah cheated in kissing booth 2," wrote another viewer who did not believe Noah's excuses.

How exactly did Chloe's earring end up under Noah's bed?

Unsolved Mysteries may have released its first set of episodes in July, but the case of Chloe's earring would be a great mystery to solve in Season 2 according to Twitter.

One fan summed up by writing: "Just watched Kissing Booth 2 men are TRASH why was her earring under his bed. Time to do some detective work gf. Tear the place up. Pick up every stray hair. Bring it to the lab. This is a case for the experts."

Where did Marco's guitar come from?

Another Kissing Booth 2 viewer found a scene where Marco and Elle have a heart-to-heart on the beach questionable. They tweeted: "my favorite part of the kissing booth 2 had to be when Marco and Elle were chilling on the beach and he pulled a GUITAR out of thin air????"

Why is everyone so obsessed with Elle's love life?

The film starts with Elle's return to high school. Though you might expect friends to be catching up with each other and share what they got up to during the summer, all anyone seemed to care about was the love life of Elle.

A Twitter user pointed out about this: "In Kissing Booth 2 why does everyone stare at Elle and gasp as she walks into school because they think she's broken up with Noah like why do they give a s*** lmao."
