GOP Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado has spoken out on social media for the first time since she said a "red wave has begun" early on Wednesday.
Boebert is locked in a nail-biting race against Adam Frisch to hold on to her seat, with the Democrat leading by less than 100 votes.
On Thursday, Boebert tweeted an adaptation of a popular meme, depicting a cartoon figure poking at a graphic showing the race, with a caption that says, "C'mon do something."

The controversial Donald Trump–backed Republican had been expected to comfortably win reelection to a seat she has held since 2020.
Boebert is 64 votes behind Frisch, with the Democrat leading by 156,746 votes to 156,682.
Ninety-nine percent of the vote has been counted.

Frisch, a self-described moderate, insisted the close contest hasn't taken him by surprise.
He said: "I spent 10 months trying to convince donors and journalists and political strategists everywhere that there was a path forward," according to The Guardian. "I have this calm belief that that 40 percent of the Republican Party wants their party back."
Boebert has come in for mockery online after predicting a Republican "red wave," which failed to materialize. On Wednesday, after one of the first results came in, she tweeted: "The red wave has begun!
"Congratulations to Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna. America First is winning!"
Republican Luna, an air force veteran, was elected to represent Florida's 13th district in the House.
In response Fred Guttenberg, who lost a daughter in the 2018 Parkland school massacre, tweeted: "Ok, Lauren Boebert wins for the funniest tweet of the night. Not only is there no red wave, Lauren is about to be voted out."
Anti-Trump conservative group The Lincoln Project jokingly added: "When's this red wave again?"
The previous day, as voters were going to the polls, Boebert wrote: "They called you cockroaches. They called you cult members. They called you extremists. They called you terrorists. Today, we call them losers!"
The outspoken right-winger accompanied the post with the hashtag #RedWave.
On Tuesday, Joe Biden achieved the best midterm election results of any Democratic president, since Bill Clinton in 1998.
Kevin McCarthy, currently Republican leader in the House and a potential speaker if the GOP secure the chamber, has come under fire over his performance.
Speaking to Axios, Bob Good, a House Freedom Caucus board member, said: "Kevin McCarthy has not done anything to earn my vote for speaker.
"I believe there's a number of members who feel as I do and who will support a challenge to him as the speaker when we convene next week. I don't think he has the votes."
