Jimmy Kimmel didn't hold back when brutally declining Marjorie Taylor Greene's request to be a guest on his late-night television show during Monday night's episode.

An outspoken figure in the Republican Party and a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, the Georgia congresswoman once reported Kimmel to the police over a joke he made on TV. Now, she wants to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, publicly asking for a guest slot so she can promote her new book MTG.

Greene released her memoir on November 21, in which she speaks of January 6, 2021 and gives "inside stories about the Swamp you won't hear anywhere else."

"Hey @jimmykimmel since most of your show content is your nonstop lies about me, why don't you have me on your show? I'll bring you a copy of my book and we can chat about what needs to happen to SAVE AMERICA!" she posted on X, formerly Twitter, on November 22.

During his first show after a Thanksgiving break, Kimmel let her and his audience know that this was never going to happen. Newsweek reached out to representatives for Greene and Kimmel for comment via email Tuesday.

"I guess I'm a Hollywood libtard that's part of the celebrity pedophile Satan club," he said on Monday night. "Until she has a book to promote, then I'd love to swing by!"

Kimmel marveled at her audacity in asking for an invitation before making a joke about a plan to mess with the far-right lawmaker.

"This woman called the police on me for a joke and now she wants to be a guest on this show," he said.

"Though I have to admit, part of me wants to invite her here so I can let her wait for an hour down in the green room doing power squats—and then bump her. Even just to screw with Matt Damon it would be fun. But I also don't want rabies so..."

This is in reference to a recurring joke on the show that sees Damon wait in the green room for his appearance on the show, only to have it canceled last minute.

Kimmel then took a few minutes to analyze how poorly Greene's book is apparently selling, noting that on Amazon it's "ranked number 9,846."

The 56-year-old continued: "It's ranked number 65 in the Women's Biography category which puts it 50 places behind a book written by Kanye's ex-girlfriend, 51 places behind Michelle Obama's book from 2018, 54 places behind Michelle Obama's other book and 60 places behind Paris Hilton's Paris the Memoir.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene's book is such a bomb, I might have to report it to the Capitol Police."

On November 28 the book had slipped to number 12,459 in Books and number 75 in Women's Biographies. It also had a 1.8-star rating out of five.

"I was a huge supporter of MTG and voted for her 2 times. But this book is garbage. The only thing in this book that is truthful is her name. Was going to buy it for family for Christmas but glad I read it first," one review read.

This isn't the first time that Kimmel has laid into a politician during his program, having previously slammed Donald Trump's social media app Truth Social.

On November 16 Kimmel revealed he'd received a letter from Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), the organization that runs Trump's social media site Truth Social. It requested that the host retract a statement he had made about the platform during the show on November 14.

While on air, the comedian said Truth Social had lost $73 million since its launch. However, once he and his team went back and checked TMTG's filing with the SEC, it turned out that the company had "only" lost $31.6 million.

Kimmel assured viewers that prior to the broadcast of November 14's episode, several credible sources were reporting Truth Social had lost $73 million, which eventually turned out to be incorrect.

"In other words [and] in fairness, Truth Social isn't a colossal failure, it's only an abysmal failure," he said.

"And I would like to do the right thing and congratulate our balloon animal former president and his company on only losing $31.6 million. For you that's pretty good, that's one of your best performances yet."
