The White Lotus' creator Mike White starred on Survivor before creating his hit HBO series and a resurfaced clip of him from the reality show has people drawing comparisons to one of his most beloved characters.
White appeared in the 37th series called, Survivor: David vs. Goliath, where he managed to come runner-up, but made a name for himself with his humor and approach to the game.
There was one hilarious moment where he was more focused on drinking wine while his teammates searched for a hidden clue.

In the 13th episode of the series, White is enjoying a reward of a full meal and red wine with teammates Angelina Keeley and Nick Wilson.
Then Angelina jumps up to insist they look for a clue she dropped that would direct them to a hidden immunity idol.
An incredulous White joins reluctantly saying, "it's like a job, always I have to do something."
He gets directed to look for the clue in the sand and he pretends to search for it as he cradles a replenished glass of wine.
"Clue, clue, where's the clue," White says as he stumbles along the beach, and then stops for a while to sip his wine.
At one point, White walks into a tree branch and curses, "ow, b****," but eventually picks the clue out of the sand.
The scene cuts to Angelina and Nick climbing up the ladder to try find the immunity idol, and White sarcastically says "good luck" to them.
He's then seen dancing and blowing raspberries back at the table as the other two attempt to seriously discuss strategy.
Twitter user @astaIavistaa shared the clip and joked that White seemed a lot like The White Lotus character, Tanya McQuoid-Hunt, played by Emmy Award winner Jennifer Coolidge.
"I love how Mike White is actually Tanya and The White Lotus is semi-autobiographical," the person tweeted.

Tanya became a fan favorite during her two seasons on the show for her hilarious one-liners and the bizarre situations she would find herself in.
White has not forgotten his days on Survivor and invited some of his old co-stars to be in the show.
He invited Angelina and Kara Kay to appear in the show's second season and they can be seen in the opening scene opposite Daphne (Meghann Fahy).
Daphne is chatting to them, saying they will have the trip of a lifetime at the resort, before she heads out into the sea where she stumbles across a floating dead body.
"Pretty early on we knew there was American Woman No. 1 and American Woman No. 2. He [White] kept saying 'opening scene'; I was like, 'Maybe we're in the background, waving, drinking some cocktails'," Kay told Vulture.
"Then we got a draft of the script and realized, oh we have lines, we're going to say something. We're going to be acting."
Keeley added of the experience: "I was wiping a fake tear away like I was at a funeral. Mike came up like, 'Angelina, this is why you're perfect for reality TV. You're so over the top. Less grief, more shock'."
White is no stranger to reality TV, having first appeared with his father Mel on The Amazing Race in 2009. They later returned to compete on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business two years later.
But his main career is in showbusiness, including writing credits for Freaks and Geeks, School of Rock and Nacho Libre.
