The heartwarming bond between a 100-year-old woman and her German shepherd has been caught on camera when the dog went to check on her.
Lauren, who posts on TikTok under the handle @laurenemilycollins, shared the adorable moment, which has more than 900,000 views. In the video, 10-year-old German shepherd Bochy is sitting on the bed where Delia is relaxing. When Lauren came in to check on her Nonni, she was greeted by the sweet scene.
"Bochy is a very loyal dog. He will never leave our property unless there is an emergency and will try and go get help," Lauren told Newsweek. "He is protective of my Nonni and is really gentle with her."
Lauren found Bochy when she was in college. He had been left at a gas station when just 8 weeks old, and she took him in. Bochy has been a big part of the family ever since.
"The last time he jumped on her bed, he was scared of the lightning and opened the doors and went up to her house. He feels safe with her," Lauren added.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) recognized the German shepherd breed in 1908. They are known for being affectionate family dogs that are fiercely loyal and intelligent.
Lauren was delighted she managed to catch the moment on camera, and wanted to share it with the world.
"It's so adorable and amazing how he protects her and is worried about her," she said. "I wanted to show people what it's like getting old and how it takes a lot of effort to care for someone because I feel sometimes we take a lot of things for granted, and everything is at our fingertips nowadays."
In a series of comments on TikTok, people reacted to the moment. "Two pure souls," wrote viewer Karmen, while Olivia posted: "Aww what a sweet moment she probably loved that!"
Katrina commented he was "protecting his great grandma," while Sydney added: "He's on grandma duty and he takes his job VERY seriously."
On her TikTok account, Lauren often shares video of her caring for her Nonni, inspired by wanting people to appreciate the reality of aging.
"With my Nonni's arthritis, she can't move. It is amazing to see her positivity and strength to stay alive and keep working hard even when you're 100," she added.
With thousands of followers, Lauren's journey caring for her Nonni captures hearts, with the occasional cameo by Bochy adding to the fun.
