Videos of Nathan Chen's near-perfect figure skating routine at the Winter Olympics has gone viral, leaving social media in awe.
Chen was able to finish in first place with a score of 111.71, the new highest score in an Olympic short program, for his team event routine. This score was also only 0.11 points short of the short program world record set in 2020.
Chen remains favorite for a gold medal and clips of his routine have been viewed over 100,000 times on Twitter, alongside a barrage of praise from social media users. Chen's full routine can be viewed here.

Multiple clips have focussed on the moment Chen was able to land his quad flip and a quad lutz triple toe.
Team USA posted a clip of Chen that has been viewed over 85,000 times with the simple caption: "NathanWChen is the moment."
Chen skated to music from the opera La Bohème, the same program that he performed at the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championships where he won gold.

Chen is set to compete in the men's single short program on February 7 and the men's single free skate on February 9.
"Last Olympics, I was three senior international [tournaments] in, I hadn't really competed internationally, so just a large lack of experience," Chen said after his performance.
He added: "I'm really happy to be here, very excited to be here and surrounded by amazing teammates."
Chen also said he has faith that he and his teammates can win a medal in figure skating overall.
"We can walk away with a medal for sure. What color? It's hard to say," Chen said.
"But I have faith in my teammates, and I know they're going to do the best they can do."
Speaking on the team's success, Chen added: "Even if someone doesn't have the best skate, we have an incredibly strong team to back us all up.
"That's certainly the case this time around. I'm happy I did my part and skated as good as I can."
Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue followed up Chen's first place in the short program with their own first place in the rhythm dance with a season-best score.
Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier also had a personal-best short program but were unable to secure the top spot and placed third.
Knierim remained in high spirits, however, and was happy she and her partner were able to compete at the highest level.
"I'm so proud of us. I mean, there was a lot of push-down pressure within us, we just tried to ignore it and we just rose to the occasion," she said.
