It isn't unusual for Americans to go all out during the spooky season by decorating their front yard with cobwebs and tombstones. But this neighborhood has been hit with a few home truths.
Instagram user, harthandhome, has shared a video that has since gone viral of a front garden with simple yet effective decorations highlighting the "scary things" that come with adulthood.
Over 18 million people have watched the garden video with the following signs scattered across it: "gas prices," "rent," "laundry," "calories," "taxes," "bills" and "quiet kids."
The unconventional decorations have received more than 700,000 likes. You can watch the video here.

Almost 7,000 people have commented on the video and they agree that the cost of living is "scary."
While the annual inflation rate did slightly dip to 8.2 percent in September, compared to 8.3 percent in August, it has remained a major preoccupation for Americans throughout the year. And naturally, this concerns the basic costs of living. For instance, Trading Economics revealed the cost of electricity in the U.S. had increased by 15.5 percent in September year-on-year.
Newsweek has reported that Halloween would also be more expensive this year due to inflation. Candy prices, for example, have shot up by 13.1 percent year-on-year in September. Halloween can be considered as an "almost unavoidable expense" since research indicates 69 percent of families plan to participate in the event, with each adult likely spending $100.45 on average—that equates to $10.6 billion nationwide.
Thousands of people have commented, and one has even hailed the neighbor as a "genius" stating: "it doesn't get any better than this."
The top comment has received more than 6,880 likes, and the user suggested adding "15 missed calls from mom."
Another wrote: "He didn't even need to add Quiet. 'Kids' is enough lol."
"You need to warn people before showing such horror," wrote another.
Another person praised the "we need to talk" sign and said it was "Perfect."
"No lies detected in ANY of those scary things," said another person.
With more than 1,500 likes, it seems many Instagrammers can't get enough of this comment: "Top-notch humor. I want a neighbor like this."
According to an April survey from online lending marketplace LendingTree, 74 percent of 1,537 participants said they get along with some people on their street. Perhaps they live near more comical characters than do the 73 percent of Americans who said they dislike at least one of their neighbors.
One thing is certain, these neighbors like this one.
