Overwatch 2: Endorsement Guide - How to Increase Endorsement Rank

Endorsements are a mechanic that has been around since the original Overwatch. In Overwatch 2, though, the way that these social scores work has changed quite a bit. Here's an in-depth look at what to expect from the Endorsement system in Overwatch 2, as well as a look at what kind of rewards you can get for increasing your Endorsement Rank.

Endorsements are essentially a social score that acts as a pat on the back for players. Think of them as an unwritten way for others to clap you on the back and say they appreciate you. The way that Endorsements work has changed in Overwatch 2, but the basis of the system is pretty much the same.

After each round, players will have a chance to endorse up to two players each game. You can only endorse a player once every 12 hours and you cannot endorse players who are already on your friend list.

Well, the rewards aren't nearly as nice as they were in the original Overwatch. Instead of loot boxes like the original game used to reward, increasing your Endorsement Rank in Overwatch 2 will reward you with a minute amount of additional Battle Pass experience.

Leveling up your Battle Pass is the best way to unlock Kiriko and get your hands on some Legendary Skins that Overwatch 2 offers. While you can complete Daily, Weekly, and even Seasonal Challenges to level up your pass, getting any extra experience you can is going to be a nice boon.

Additionally, leveling up your Endorsement Rank shows other Overwatch 2 players that you're good at the role you play. As such, it's highly recommended that you can play the role that you're best at, especially if you want to farm for Endorsement Ranks. Otherwise, you're going to have a hard time earning Endorsements, as some players can be very stingy with them.

If you're good at supporting roles, then playing as a healer can be a great way to earn yourself some Endorsements, as healing is a vital part of matches in Overwatch 2, and without a good healer, teams will struggle to control the match and take home the win.
