Apple TV+ has shared a first look at its new TV show Pachinko, which adapts Min Jin Lee's novel of the same name.

Pachinko is an epic historical novel that follows four generations of a Korean family in both their home country and Japan, and it is set over the course of several decades.

The story mainly follows young girl Sunja from 1910 to 1989, charting her life and the lives of her family as they struggle with racism in Japanese-occupied Korea and Japan.

When Will 'Pachinko' Come Out?

Apple TV+ confirmed that Pachinko will be launching on the streaming platform globally on Friday, March 25.

The first three episodes will be released on the day of the show's premiere, with the rest of the series coming out on a weekly basis.

There will be eight episodes in total, so the finale will be released on Friday, April 29.

Who Stars in 'Pachinko'?

Pachinko is acquiring the services of several big hitters in the Korean film industry, including Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung as Sunja and K-Drama icon Lee Min-ho as Sunja's lover Koh Hansu.

As the series is set across several decades there will be several actors playing protagonist Sunja, with Jeon Yu-na portraying her during her childhood years, Kim Min-ha taking on the role while she is a teenager, and Youn playing her in later life.

Other cast members include Soji Arai, Jimmi Simpson, Jin Ha and Kaho Minami.

'Pachinko' First Look

On Wednesday, January 26, Apple TV+ shared the first images from Pachinko, which showed a number of the key characters including Sunja and Koh Hansu.

One image shows Lee Min-ho as Hansu alongside Kim Min-ha, and teases the romantic relationship between the characters.

Another sees Youn Yuh-jung at a different stage in Sunja's life, and Jeon Yu-na as the character in her younger years, and there was also a still of Jin Ha in the role of Solomon that shared a glimpse at his life in America.

On Wednesday, February 23, Apple TV+ released a teaser trailer for the show, which gave viewers a taste of the epic family drama.

It showed how one choice made by Sunja was the determining factor of her whole life, as well as the lives of her children, and their children.

Pachinko launches on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 25.
