The Powerball jackpot has risen to the second-largest in the lottery game's history after Monday night's drawing produced no winning tickets but still minted over a dozen new millionaires.
A winning ticket in Wednesday night's drawing is now estimated to be worth $1.2 billion, with a cash option of $596.7 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association announced Tuesday. With no ticket in the Halloween night drawing matching all six numbers drawn Monday, the jackpot is now the largest Powerball prize in more than six years. But Monday's drawing still included treats, with 13 players scattered across the country winning prizes worth $1 million or more.
Here are the winning numbers from Monday night's drawing.
- First Five: 13-19-36-39-59
- Mega Ball: 13
- Megaplier: 3x

A total of 10 tickets—sold in California, New York, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Texas—matched all five white balls, winning a $1 million prize. Another three tickets sold in Florida, New York and Oklahoma matched all five white balls and increased their prize to $2 million because their holders included the Power Play for an additional $1 per play.
More than 5.4 million tickets won cash prizes totaling $59.5 million Monday night including the 13 tickets worth $1 million or more, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. A total of 134 tickets nationwide were worth $50,000 and another 23 won the $150,000 prize.
The current $1.2 billion jackpot is the second time the grand prize has risen above a billion dollars. On January 13, 2016, the grand prize reached a record $1.586 billion jackpot and was split between winning tickets purchased in California, Florida and Tennessee.
Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The last time a grand prize winning Powerball ticket was drawn was August 3 in Pennsylvania, which was worth $202 million. The lottery has since been on a 38-drawing streak without a grand prize winner, an indication of how unlikely it is to pick the right numbers.
According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the odds of winning any prize are one in 24.9 and are one in 292.2 million for winning the jackpot.
The $1.2 billion prize is for winners who opt to take their winnings through an annual payment stretched out over 29 years. Most winners instead choose to receive their prize in a cash lump sum.
Powerball drawings are held live and streamed at Powerball.com. at 10:59 p.m. Eastern every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, broadcast from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
