Sir Rod Stewart reignited his feud with longtime frenemy Sir Elton John after the 77-year-old star impersonated the "Rocket Man" singer on stage.
Stewart poked fun at his fellow pop legend at a concert this week when he mimed playing the piano wearing a pair of very Elton John-esque round sunglasses.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, Stewart joked: "Still love you, Elt. Rod xxx."
In the clip and photo, Stewart is wearing a sequined jacket that is highly reminiscent of John's signature style.
The cheeky joke went down well on Instagram where Stewart's fans joined in, with one commenting: "Omg im going mental laughing Rod so cool."
Another added: "Hmm wonder if Elt will have a response lol."
Rod Stewart and Elton John's 55-Year Feud Explained
The pop legends have known each other for decades and have famously traded jibes and barbs with each other for more than half a century. They even have nicknames for each other; Sharon and Phyllis.
They met when John was playing in the band Bluesology in the 70s and Stewart covered his song "Country Comfort" but altered the lyrics, which greatly upset John.
"He changed the lyrics, something I complained about at length in the press: 'He sounds like he made it up as he went along! He couldn't have got further from the original if he'd sung 'The Camptown Races,'!'" John complained of the situation in a 2019 op-ed for the Daily Mail.
"We've spent nearly fifty years constantly taking the p*** out of, and trying to put one over, each other," John added.
Their feud which was reignited in the 80s when John had a blimp that was promoting Stewart's tour shot down.
"So I called my management and they hired someone to shoot it down: apparently it landed on top of a double-decker bus and was last seen heading toward Putney," John wrote about the prank.
After an hour Rod called and was spluttering, "Where's my balloon gone? It was you, wasn't it? You cow!'"
Stewart is said to have gotten him back when he sabotaged a poster promoting John's tour.
"It was mysteriously cut down immediately after it was put up. I learned this had happened from Rod, who seemed curiously well-informed. 'Such a shame about your banner, love. I heard it wasn't even up five minutes. I bet you didn't even get to see it'" John said.
The two had another falling out in 2018 after Stewart called John's farewell tour "money-grabbing" and "not rock 'n' roll" in an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

In response, John wrote in his autobiography: "I certainly didn't feel like I needed a lecture on the feral spirit of rock and roll from someone who'd spent most of the last decade crooning his way through the Great American Songbook and 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,'" he wrote about Stewart.
"What's more, I thought he had a cheek, complaining about me promoting a tour while he was sat on a TV show promoting his own tour."
Stewart later apologized for those comments and revealed in 2012 that they were back to being "good mates."
"We're friends again now, me and Elton," he said. "We had the worst row, like a married couple, it went on forever. But he just said 'I've forgiven Rod and everything'… No, I do love him," he said on The Harry Redknapp Show podcast.
The pranks and row all seem good-natured, however, with John admitting that he is actually very fond of his fellow Brit.
"I just adore him… Even today, if Rod's got an album out that's selling better than mine, I know it's only a matter of time before he emails me: 'Hello, Sharon, just writing to say I'm sorry that your record's not even in the Top 100, dear. What a pity when mine's doing so well. Love, Phyllis,'" he wrote.
