The family of Tennessee child Summer Moon-Utah Wells is expected to release a letter from her father addressed to the missing child.

Earlier this week, the family released a video of a letter the father had written, from prison, addressed to the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.

The now 6-year-old Summer Wells went missing from her home in the Beech Creek community in Tennessee's Hawkins County at around 6:30 p.m. on June 15 in 2021.

The video of the letter, addressed to the alleged kidnapper/s, was posted on July 19 on the Don Wells Family Official YouTube Page.

A few days prior, on July 17, the page released an update that spoke of another letter that Don Wells had written that would be addressed to his daughter that is yet to be released.

"Mr. Don Wells has sent a letter to his daughter, Summer Moon-Utah Wells, as well as a letter to the person(s) who may have her," the message in the video from July 17 said.

"These letters have been held and scheduled to be posted in days to come. We ask the greatest respect be given these letters."

The video also addressed suspected questions about the letters and their purpose.

The video stated that the family's media manager did not order these letters and were written by Don Wells of his own accord.

"These letters are not written to manipulate Law enforcement or the American Court System," the message said in the video.

"Those individuals saying these statements and who choose to analyze these letters for 'nefarious reasons' should, in the opinion of this editor, be avoided. There is a way to analyze that is humane."

In the letter Don Wells wrote addressed to the alleged kidnappers he pleaded with them to "do the right thing" and return his daughter.

"To the person, or persons responsible for kidnapping Summer, not only have you broken Summer's heart and taken her away from her mother and father who love her very much, but you've ruined her chances to become educated, ruining her life," Don Wells' letter read.

"You have also broken the hearts of her father and mother and brother, and in the midst of all the commotion, you have ruined our lives. You see, the public blames us. I don't know if we'll ever find employment again.

"Nobody will hire my wife, and I've been fired from a job I've had for 13 years. We may end up losing everything. When you took our little girl, you took our very lives. Why don't you give our little girl back before God's wrath descends on you.

"You've broken many hearts, especially a 5-year-old girl's heart. One day God will hold you accountable for this crime unless you do something to make this right. Please do the right thing and turn our daughter over to the authorities. We're begging you with all our hearts, please do the right thing. Summer's father."

Following her daughter's disappearance, Summer Wells' mother Candus Bly spoke to News Channel 11 about how she realized she was missing.

Bly said she and her mother had been planting flowers before her daughter went missing, she said she had asked the girl's brothers to watch her.

"Within two minutes, I came back, and I asked the boys where their sister was, and they said, 'She went downstairs, mom, to play with her toys in the playroom,'" Bly said.

"And I yelled downstairs for her a couple times, and I didn't get no answer, which was unusual because usually she always answers me. And so, I went down there to check, and she was nowhere in sight.

"I feel in my heart that somebody has came up here and took her... has lured her away from here."

According to the statewide AMBER Alert issued for Wells at the time, she had blonde hair, blue eyes, was 3-feet tall and weighed around 40 pounds.

She was reportedly last seen wearing gray pants, a pink shirt and was possibly barefoot.
