Sydney Sweeney's Double Emmy Noms Have Fans Rejoicing for 'Euphoria' Star

Actress Sydney Sweeney has just earned her first two Emmy nominations and her fans are just as excited as she is.

Sweeney tearfully called her mother when she found out she was nominated in two categories.

Sweeney was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Cassie in the HBO series, Euphoria. She got a second nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for portraying Olivia in another HBO show, The White Lotus.

Fans of Sweeney were also rejoicing on social media over her nominations.

Other than Euphoria, Sweeney has an impressive movie and TV show catalog including Hulu's hit series The Handmaid's Tale, based on the book by Margaret Atwood. She also starred in Netflix's short-lived high school series, Everything Sucks.
Sweeney was also a part of Quentin Tarantino's version of the Manson family murders in Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood. In 2021, Sweeney starred alongside Justice Smith in Amazon's thriller The Voyeurs, where a young couple decides to spy on their neighbors only to discover a plot-twisting secret.
On July 12, the 2022 Emmy Nominations were announced. HBO's Succession has the most nominations with 25 and Apple TV Plus's Ted Lasso isn't far behind with 20 nominations. Other shows that received several nominations are Only Murders in The Building, Euphoria, Squid Game and Stranger Things.
