The internet has sympathized with a teenager whose parents decided to send her to a church camp, while her sister was able to go to a more expensive one.
In a viral Reddit post shared in the Am I The A**hole group, which can be seen here, user suckysummercamp explained her 15-year-old sister is sent to a two-week-long camp for free due to an unspecified immune system condition.
There she is able to go horseback riding, do archery, astronomy nights, and enjoy three pools, while the 14-year-old Reddit poster goes to a cheaper church camp.
According to the American Camp Association, more than 14 million children and adults are involved in some way with camp programs.

It added the most popular camp session length is one week or less, although the majority of independent camp operators offer four-, six- and eight-week sessions.
The Reddit user added the camp was "out in the middle of nowhere" and that she would be away from technology for the week.
She added: "Last summer my parents were signing us up for camp and I said either they find a camp like my sisters or I'm not going [to] go to camp. My parents found one but it was more than triple the price of church camp so they said either church camp or I spend the week with my grandma.
"I went to church camp because grandma's house is even more boring than church camp - all she wants to do is watch Family Feud, The Price Is Right or the news, cook and talk about when she lived in Palestine.
"They're already talking about next summer and I was complaining about having a s***ty week every summer because they go on vacation and they told me to shut up because they gave me options and if I find something for under $400 I can do that, otherwise I'm either going to church camp or grandma's house. They're calling me ungrateful and a brat."
Since the post was shared Monday, it has attracted some 5,800 upvotes and another 2,000 comments.
The overall ruling on the post was "no a**holes here," as many Reddit users sympathized with the teenager's situation, while others also said they understood why her parents could only offer a few alternatives.
One Reddit user, whose comment was upvoted more than 9,000 times, said: "Camp professional here. Your sister's camp is likely free of charge as many camps that cater to kids with conditions are. They operate almost exclusively on endowment, donation and volunteers.
"Other than that, camps are expensive. I work for a camp that has all of the activities you mentioned and, on the less expensive side of things we still clock in at almost $5,000 for a two-week session."
They continued: "At the end of the day I can see why you're jealous, but it doesn't seem like your parents are able to afford something for you like your sister has access to and, in the grand scheme of things, a less exciting summer camp seems a better option than an immune system disorder."
Another added: "I don't think OP [original poster] is jealous. She doesn't seem to resent her sister having somewhere nice to go. I think she's unhappy because she's being sent to whatever is cheapest for her parents while the rest of the household gets an actual vacation. Boring camp or sit at her grandmother's isn't having options. OP is NTA [not the a**hole]."
While a third commented: "I get why OP is upset, but like you said, they perhaps need to research some other affordable options or scholarships. OP's sister's camp is free. She can't attend a regular camp because of her condition.
"The parents aren't playing favorites. They are just providing a camp experience that they can afford."
