What Madelyn Cline Has Said About 'Outer Banks' Season 3 as Shoot Resumes

Actress Madelyn Cline has shared a filming update on Season 3 of Outer Banks in a new social media post.

"We're back," Cline exclaimed in a viral Instagram post. She shared a few pictures of some behind-the-scenes looks including her set chair with her character's name on it, the actress getting her hair dyed. The post has over 1 million likes; Cline has over 12 million followers on the social media platform.

She also noted that they were back in Charleston, North Carolina to continue shooting Outer Banks, "We missed youuu," she ended her caption.

Fans flooded the comment section with their excitement,

"this makes my heart smile," one fan wrote, "SO EXCITED FOR SEASON 3."

"SARAH IS BACKKKKKKK," exclaimed another.

Another fan commented, referring to what the characters call themselves in the series, "the pogues are backkkk !!"

Among Cline, her co-stars Chase Stokes, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss and others are set to return for Season 3. Season 1 followed John B (Stokes), who was destined to find the treasure that his father set out to discover. John B and his friends set out to look for the missing clues, however, they aren't the only ones looking for it. Season 2 was also filled with action-packed seasons as well as more treasure hunting. Season 2 ended on a big cliffhanger, leaving viewers wanting to know more.

Cline celebrated the announcement of Season 3 by posting the official announcement on her social media with the caption, "Remember when y'all said renew outer banks"

In August, she revealed what she hoped would happen for her character—though most of her wishes were about the character's personal dreams rather than treasure.

"I want her to be happy. I want to see her come into her own," she told Elle. "For me, for Sarah's arc, that would be the most ideal thing to happen. I want to see her and John B have to kind of hash out what just happened. I want to see her personal relationships with her chosen family develop. Maybe we could get some backstory on her and Kie's friendship. Maybe see her try to go to Pogue high school. Maybe see her try to get a job."

Months later, Cline posted a set of photos to Instagram celebrating the start of filming the third season.

"I'm late to the party but here we go again," she wrote.

Earlier in the year, it was rumored that she was not returning for the third season until she set the record straight via Instagram stories.

"Hi so I'm getting asked if s3 is my final season of obx," she wrote, "I will come back for as many seasons as they will have me. I love my job and there's not a day that goes by that I'm not grateful for it and for everyone who has watched it. Not everything on the internet is true," she ended her statement with a smiley face.
