The news was announced on Friday, November 18 much to fans' delight and there is no doubt audiences are counting down the days until its release.

For The White Lotus Season 3, there will be a brand-new range of hotel guests checking into a White Lotus resort.
As the Emmy-winning show is an anthology, there will be a whole new cast starring in the Mike White-created drama. However, with Emmy-winner Jennifer Coolidge making a return for Season 2 as Tanya McQuoid, there is a big chance some characters from Seasons 1 and 2 could make a reappearance.
Speaking to Deadline, White said he could not do The White Lotus without Coolidge, so fans should remain hopeful there is more Tanya to come.
He said: "Jennifer is my friend and everybody loved her in the first season, and I was like, 'I can't go to Italy without Jennifer.' And maybe that's still the case.
"Like, maybe you can't go to Japan without Jennifer, either. There are so many fun actors we've worked with so far, so it's just kind of like who's available."
Season 1 starred Murray Bartlett, Sydney Sweeney, Alexandra Daddario and Jake Lacy.
Season 2 saw F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli and Adam DiMarco join the cast alongside Meghann Fahy, Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, and Will Sharpe.

For now, the plot of The White Lotus Season 3 has been kept under wraps, though one thing is for certain now. Whereas Season 1 was set in Hawaii and Season 2 in Sicily, Italy, the third installment will take place at a brand-new location.

Creator White has spoken about alternative plots for The White Lotus in the past.
Ahead of Season 2, he told Entertainment Weekly his plans for Season 2 totally changed, meaning there is a possible storyline for Season 3 already waiting to be told.
Referring to the Bilderberg, the annual forum for global political leaders and industry experts, White said: "Originally, it [Season 2] was more of like a Bilderberg conference, more about getting into some of the bigger power dynamics there.
"But Sicily was a totally different vibe than the idea I pitched. That didn't seem right."
The White Lotus Season 2 airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max.
