'The White Lotus' Season 2 Trailer Teases Five Wild Finale Moments

Fans of The White Lotus are sure to find Sunday, December 11, a bittersweet day.

Its highly anticipated finale will air at 9 p.m. ET, bringing an end to long weeks of waiting to find out who is the killer at the luxury Sicilian resort, as well as who the victim/s may be.

The bad news is that Sunday will mark the end of Season 2 and audiences will say goodbye to the current White Lotus guests, including Aubrey Plaza's Harper, Theo James' Cameron, Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya, and more.

On the other hand, Season 3 of The White Lotus has already been given the green light, so fans will have time to recover from what looks set to be an absolutely wild finale if the teaser trailer is anything to go by.

Newsweek has broken down five of the craziest moments from the trailer for The White Lotus Season 2 finale below.

The 5 Wild Finale Moments From The White Lotus Teaser

1. Ethan's Rage

The teaser trailer kicks off with Daphne (Meghann Fahy) asking Ethan (Will Sharpe), who looks visibly stressed and downright miserable, how he's feeling.

For the past two episodes, things between him and his wife, Harper, haven't been great. She suspects Ethan of cheating and he is now beginning to fear Harper is having an affair with Daphne's husband and his college roommate, Cameron.

In the teaser trailer, it looks like Ethan is set to explode at any moment. As the trailer comes to an end, he is seen throwing a huge punch at Cameron in the middle of the sea.

At a quick glance, it also looks like Ethan is strangling Cameron underwater.

Does that mean Cameron is the lifeless body Daphne came across in the water at the beginning of the first episode? Only time will tell.

2. Harper and Cameron

Ethan is haunted by visions of Cameron and Harper having sex and his imagination seems to be driving him crazy.

There is definitely something transpiring between Cameron and Harper, but whether it's just chemistry or something more is yet to be revealed.

In the teaser trailer for the finale, it's not clear whether it's just Ethan's imagination or not. Maybe Cameron and Harper will actually get together... At approximately 40 seconds into the teaser trailer, someone is placing their finger on Harper's lips, but is Cameron or her husband Ethan?

3. Portia and Tanya Are in Trouble

In the penultimate episode, the dark secrets of Quentin (Tom Hollander) and Jack (Leo Woodall) are beginning to unravel and it appears Tanya and Portia (Hayley Lu Richardson) are none the wiser.

However, in the finale, it looks like Portia is beginning to suspect something is not quite right.

At one point in the teaser trailer, Portia is seen on the phone, pleading: "I feel like something bad is happening" before trying to leave Jack and head back to Taormina to, no doubt, rescue Tanya.

Episode 6 also teased the cowboy Quentin has been in love with for years might actually be Tanya's husband, Greg (Jon Gries) and if it is, it opens a huge can of worms.

Has Greg been lying to Tanya this entire time, including about his sickness in Season 1, just to get a step closer to Tanya's fortune?

If Quentin and Greg are romantically involved, perhaps they have been working together all along and plan to wrangle a huge amount of money in a divorce settlement by using images of Tanya doing drugs and having an affair with the handsome Italian, violating their pre-nup agreement.

However, it could very much be possible Tanya is entirely in control of the situation, she is a lot smarter than she is given credit for.

4. Albie's Saviour Complex

The teaser for The White Lotus finale shows Dom (Michael Imperioli) asking his son Albie (Adam Di Marco): "You're just gonna go through life trying to rescue every desperate girl you come across?" to which Albie responds: "There's a dude stalking her," referring to his summer love interest Lucia (Simona Tabasco).

Lucia has made no secret of her work as an escort and the fact she owes a man named Alessio a whole load of money.

Maybe Albie's innocent desire to save Lucia ends up costing him his life as one thing is for sure, Alessio sounds seriously dangerous.

On the other hand, there is the possibility Lucia's feelings for Albie have been one big scam and Albie ends up being the one to get hurt if he decides to give Lucia the money she allegedly needs to be free from Alessio.

5. Daphne and Ethan

It could just be super smart editing or there really could be something in the look Daphne exchanges with Ethan on the beach.

Moments before they are spotted together, a body can be seen being removed from the sea. Who the victim is remains unclear, but seconds later, Daphne can be seen slightly smirking at Ethan who is walking on the beach looking disheveled.

Did Ethan kill Cameron and if he did, is his wife Daphne happy about it?

With Cameron dead, Daphne would be free to be with her personal trainer and her kids...perhaps Ethan did her a favor?

The White Lotus Season 2 ends Sunday, December 11, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.
