Imagine meeting the person of your dreams and then finding out you forgot to save their number.
Well, that is what one TikToker claimed had happened to her so she decided to use the app to try and track him down.
In a viral post, shared to TikTok by a woman called Mica Renee, known on the app as Micarenee, the woman asked the internet to "help me find this man I met in Miami."
Overlaying footage of the swimsuit-clad pair holding hands in the sea, which has gained 4.6 million views and can be watched here, she then explained: "He walked right into the ocean to introduce himself to me.
"I was lit [drunk] when he gave me his number. I'm counting on yaw [you all]! Hopefully he ain't married."
She then captioned the video, which was shared on January 12, writing: "TikTok I come to you today cause I heard what you do for others. I think he said he's from Detroit. #fyp #helpmefindhim #boostofhope #viral."
Renee's prediction on his marital status turned out to be correct as she explained in a follow-up video on January 13, that gained a further 826,700 views, saying: "Hey y'all turns out we did find him and before I give an update, here is some background.

"I was in Miami looking all good in the ocean and my friend was taking pics of me when he came up to me and he introduced himself. My friend thought he was bold so she kept recording."
"After we got out the ocean, he did give me his number but I was lit [drunk] so I thought I saved it but I didn't.
"So the update is he is indeed married and I won't be reaching out to him. His wife did request I keep my post up, as you can see in this clip, and all I have to say is ladies don't believe in fairytales, you may go viral."
She then shared a screenshot of a chat between her and a woman she claims is the wife, who says it's not Renee's fault but wants her to leave the post up as she doesn't "want him lying about this too."
However, the saga did not end there as the man in question, identified only as AJ, or Irontemple07, released a response video, which can be viewed here, titled: "The truth must be televised!!! #fyp #fy #trending #worldstar #balleralert #tiktok #messytiktok #video #foryou."

In the clip, which was shared on January 15 and has 261,900 views, he stated: "Little miss cheater is really trying to run off this clout that she got from completely capping. It's time for the truth."
He went on to say that while they did meet in Miami they only had a five-to-seven minute conversation but it was five months ago. He then lamented that he didn't even know her name until she posted "this crazy video."
AJ also added that the video has been edited and spliced, but one thing was right: "I did come up to you.
"I was already enjoying myself in the ocean, basking in God's blessings upon me as the sun [shone] upon my bald head, then you wobbled your a** down to the water."
He then explained he left and didn't invite her with his friends and, he stressed, "never gave you my number."
Newsweek have contacted Renee for comment.
