A bride to be has gone viral on TikTok with a video where she allegedly accidentally filmed her own engagement, with over one million views.

In the video, professional dancer Ali Kerner can be seen in a tropical beach location in Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico, wearing a white mini dress, setting up her camera then running back towards her now fiancé, Jordan Simon.

As he gets down on one knee, two friends walk towards the couple, partially obscuring the video, to get close up footage of the moment.

Ms Kerner wrote in the text: "What was going through my mind when I accidentally recorded my own proposal. Not me thinking I would run over for a cute TikTok video, me thinking he was just being all cute and having a moment. Which quickly turned in to 'omg this is happening'. Yay we get to celebrate with friends. Me picking up my phone 15 minutes later but now with a fiancé."

In other videos on her TikTok page, Ms Kerner explains that the couple met during the pandemic, while she was "Following her dreams of pursuing dancing professionally in New York," and Mr Simon was a "Boy living his best life in LA."

In another video, Ms Kerner can be seen questioning why her mother told her to get "white chrome nails" and her hair done before the trip. She describes specifically requesting the engagement ring be a "Signature squared cushion cut ring with hidden halo and dainty gold infinity band."

One user questioned the authenticity of the 'surprise proposal' commenting: "I don't believe that anyone wearing white didn't know it was gonna happen," while another user expressed their frustration that the friends ran in to shot, "nah I'd be so annoyed at them people I think I'd cry they ruined the video."

According to The Plunge, a digital engagement and wedding information site for men, Mexico is one of the most popular destinations for proposals and weddings for American and Canadian tourists.

They say that: "With nonstop flights to places like Cabo and Cancún available from the U.S. and Canada, there's never been a more convenient time to propose in Mexico. And why wouldn't you want to?

"Not only does it have perennially great weather—of course, it depends where you go; the coasts are relatively reliable year-round, though you'll want to be cautious during hurricane season June through November—it's also affordable and romantic."

One user commented: "You literally knew it was happening. In a previous video u said, nails hair dress trip. You didn't accidentally record it."

Another user said: "u left your phone recording being a gf and took ur phone back being a fiancé."

Another user added: "imagine you forgot to click record."
