Among Us VR Release Date

Among Us took the world by storm in 2020, bringing groups of friends together as they tried to root out the Impostor and complete all of their tasks.

While the game eventually saw release dates on Xbox and PlayStation, as well as on the Nintendo Switch, there's one style of Among Us that fans have been chomping at the bit for—Among Us VR.

Versions of the hit social deduction game have appeared in other virtual reality titles like VRChat, but at the time, Innersloth had yet to release an official version of the hit multiplayer game in virtual reality. Well, that's about to change.

After months of speculation and teases, Among Us VR is finally going to make its big debut to the world, and that debut is happening a lot sooner than you might expect. The virtual reality release of the hit game from 2018 was originally announced at the 2021 The Game Awards. Now, though, it's finally listed on Steam and awaiting its final release on November 10, 2022.

If you're excited about Among Us VR, you can preorder the game on the Meta Quest store to gain access to a special Mini Crewmate hat. The game will also release on Steam and will be playable on the Meta Quest, Rift and via Steam VR.

Innersloth showed off some gameplay for Among Us VR in a trailer for the new game and it looks to do a great job of bringing the game's various locations to life in a more immersive environment. The characters stand out a bit more in the virtual reality version than they do in the original game, but overall, it's a good look that Among Us fans should find plenty to love.

In July of last year, Innersloth released a massive update to the base Among Us game, bringing in a slew of new colors for players to choose from. Despite the addition of new characters in July, though, Among Us fans still flocked to their favorite character colors in the game.

With the game coming to virtual reality soon, those favorite colors might change as players actually step into the shoes of those crewmates for the very first time. With less than a month to wait, fans of Innersloth's social deduction game will have plenty to look forward to in November when Among Us VR officially slinks its way onto virtual reality headsets everywhere.
