Fortnitemares 2022 Start Date

Fortnite will kick off its annual Halloween gaming event this month, and it's expected to bring quite the array of frights and delights. This is everything that Fortnite fans currently know about Fortnitemares 2022, including its start date.

Fortnitemares 2022 is a big deal for Fortnite players, bringing new skins, activities, and other goodies to the beloved battle royale game. As one of the biggest games in the world, Fortnite has a massive daily audience that is always looking for new skins, bling, and other goodies to show off in their matches. Fortnitemares offers a great way to get those items while also taking advantage of one of the spookiest times of the year.

Leading up to the start of Fortnitemares 2022 on October 18, players will be able to take part in the ongoing events of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. The spooky event will not only bring about some new skins––some of which are already starting to appear in the in-game shop––but it will also herald in some new challenges and Halloween-themed tasks for players to take part in.

It's also likely that Fortnite players will see some kind of overarching plot cropping up within the battle royale, too, though Epic Games has stayed very quiet about what to expect. Right now, The Herald is the primary boss in Fortnite Chapter 3's ongoing storyline, but that could change very soon.

While Epic Games hasn't shared much about the upcoming Halloween event, players have discovered some skins, like the Undying Sorrow and Sinister Glare skins, which were part of the Concept Royale competition held earlier this year. These two skins will appear in-game soon, allowing players to support the artists that brought them to life during the competition.

Epic has also noted that a crossover between Black Adam, the upcoming antihero film featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, will debut during this event, so players can expect to be able to grab that skin from the shop, too.

Of course, Fortnitemares is just one of the many Halloween gaming events players can look forward to checking out. Overwatch 2's Halloween event is also set to kick off this month, and will come with its own band of goodies for players to collect and show off.

There are also plenty of other things to do in Fortnite right now. Players taking part in the game's battle royale mode can get the Explosive Goo Gun to wreak havoc on their enemies by covering them in the gun's sticky ammunition. There are also rumors that Breaking Bad characters like Walter White could be making an appearance in Fortnite sometime down the line, too.
