Britney Spears has once again lashed out at her father Jamie Spears on Instagram as she marks 12 months since being freed from the conservatorship he instigated.
Spears said it felt like her father was "trying to kill me" during the 13-year conservatorship when he and a lawyer had total control of the singer's life.
"I've spoken about it several times, have proof, and witnesses of what he did," the mom-of-two wrote.
She made the comment after taking to Instagram to describe getting her first ATM card and how she was never allowed to physically pay for anything for 15 years.

But finally having the chance to buy something was a "pretty big deal for me" and the life event left her "shaking."
"Hopefully just a few can understand the belittling mortality waiting in line with a man always ahead of you ghosting you and purchasing things on your behalf… the significance of using your own two hands… SPEAKS VOLUMES," she wrote.
"My legs and hands were shaking for 15 minutes after I bought something. I'm not sure why. Honestly I don't know! How dare a state or nation of any sort grant any man or woman the right to use my possessions in my name."
Spears also promised to "end the system" and called for those responsible for the conservatorship to be held responsible, claiming instead that they were able "to walk away… like they did nothing!!!"
"If I was valued and respected, then my father would be locked up in two seconds! People say you will have to put up a lot of money and sue and sit for hours and not be able to use my feet again when I want to run outside, no thank you, to prove these allegations are true! I will never put up more money and to go to court to see if my dad gets prosecuted! I choose to smile and put it in my family's face until the day I die."
Spears also referred to labor laws after she was forced to work seven days a week on her four-year Las Vegas residency which was immediately followed up with her 2018 Piece of Me tour.
"I have the hours I worked on a schedule seven days a week—labor laws," Spears added.
She also spoke about having to attend court during the COVID-19 pandemic to testify about the conservatorship. The testimony was the first time she had been able to speak candidly about her ordeal, including telling the judge she was forced to have an IUD contraceptive device to prevent her from becoming pregnant.
"I have proof of all of it. Spoke about it live in court during Covid. Nope it's not a big deal! I mean my mom [Lynne] laughed and said, 'I'm so happy the judge didn't stand you up for three hours in your room this time then cancel on you like she did last time!" Spears wrote.
"I truly believe anyone going though that situation would have never made it."
Newsweek has asked representatives for Jamie Spears for comment.
A court ordered the end of the conservatorship in 2021 and Spears has enjoyed her freedoms ever since, including publicly putting her family on blast and marrying long-time boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
The legal restraints were started on February 1, 2008, with her father Jamie acting as a conservator for the majority of the 13 years.
The "Free Britney" movement helped bring the conservatorship to the world's attention.
