Cardi B on Thursday broke her silence on the death of Takeoff by retweeting a video of the late rapper with his fellow members in the hip-hop group Migos.
Takeoff, 28, was shot and killed early Tuesday outside a Houston bowling alley, the Houston Police Department confirmed in a press conference. Cardi B is married to Offset, Takeoff's cousin and one of the other members of Migos. Offset also paid tribute to Takeoff on Wednesday by changing his Instagram avatar to a photo of of the slain star.
Neither Offset nor Quavo, who is the third rapper in Migos, have publicly spoken about Takeoff's death.

"My dudes gave me this ring," Takeoff says in the clip while showing a large ring that contains a photo of his mother and himself as a boy. "It's always going to stay with me, too. I ain't never going to take it off."

During Tuesday's press conference, a member of the Houston Police Department said Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was confirmed dead at the scene of a business named 810 Billiards and Bowling. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner would not confirm if Quavo was at the scene of the shooting.
Earlier this year, rumors swirled that Offset quit Migos, though his departure hasn't been confirmed. Quavo and Takeoff, meanwhile, released an album together in early October titled Only Built for Infinity Links.
A little more than a week before his death, Takeoff appeared with Quavo on the October 22 episode of the Drink Champs podcast, where they promoted their album. Takeoff also discussed how he wanted recognition for his music skills while still living.
"Enough is enough. I'm chill, I'm laid back, but it's time to pop it. You know what I mean?" Takeoff told Drink Champs host N.O.R.E. when discussing his performance on Only Built for Infinity Links. "I mean, it's time to give me my flowers. I don't want them later when I ain't here. I want 'em right now."
Since news broke of Takeoff's death, tributes have flooded social media from numerous celebrities and the rapper's peers in the hip-hop community. Ja Rule, Gucci Mane, Not3s and Yung Miami were among the stars who have expressed their grief.
Drake, who collaborated with Migos, posted a photo on his Instagram account in which he is shown onstage with Takeoff.
"I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That's what I'll focus on for now rest easy space man," Drake wrote in the caption for his post.
