Georgia Republican U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker said recently that he has "a solution" to "things that really matter," but can't say what it is in case Democrats copy his idea.
Walker, who is running against incumbent Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock, made the comment during a rally in Augusta, Georgia, on Tuesday.
Speaking to rally-goers, the Senate hopeful said: "Why are they not talking about things that really matter? Because they don't have a solution for those things. And I say I do have a solution, but I'm not going to tell them because you tell them [and] they'll think they came up with it."
His remark caused laughter and applause to ripple through the audience. Referring to the Democrats, the former NFL running back then continued: "They are good at marketing, they are good at lying to you."

Georgia has become one of the most fiercely fought Senate battles in the country, and could end up deciding which party controls the Senate after Tuesday's midterm elections.
According to the latest model from polling site FiveThirtyEight released on Friday, Walker has a 59 percent chance of winning the seat versus 41 percent for Warnock.
However, the most recent poll conducted by Survey USA between October 29 and November 2, has Warnock ahead by 6 percent. According to the poll, Warnock has 49 percent support from voters versus 43 percent for Walker.
On Friday, Walker held another rally in Newton, Georgia, where he said the U.S. military is using pronouns in a bid to be trans-inclusive.
"They're bringing pronouns into our military and my pronoun is sick and tired of it. And I'm going to tell you right now Senator Warnock pronoun is going to be former senator," Walker said, who also mocked his opponent for having a campaign bus with Tennessee license plates.
Walker, running on an anti-abortion platform, was forced to defend himself last month against two women who came forward to claim that he'd paid for them to have abortions after being romantically involved with them.
"I'm done with this foolishness. I've already told people this is a lie," Walker said during a press conference last Wednesday. "I also want to let you know I didn't kill JFK either."
GOP Senator Lindsey Graham, who appeared with Walker at the press conference, said he's "seen this movie before" and drew parallels between the new accusations against Walker and the allegations made about Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Warnock hit out at his rival, writing: "Herschel Walker has lied repeatedly about the most basic facts of his life. And if we can't trust him to tell us the truth about his life, we can't trust him with our lives."

According to analysis by Real Clear Politics, Georgia is one of the four most likely Republican pick-ups on Tuesday, along with Arizona, Georgia and New Hampshire. That scenario would give the GOP a 54-46 Senate advantage, compared to the current makeup that consists of 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats and two independents who caucus with the Democrats.
Earlier this week, a video of Walker being criticized by Pastor Jamal Bryant went viral on Twitter, clocking up more than 8 million views.
"They figured they would delude us by picking somebody who they thought would, in fact, represent us better with a football than with a degree in philosophy," Bryant said about the GOP in the video. "They thought we were so slow, that we were so stupid, that we would elect the lowest caricature of a stereotypical broken Black man as opposed to someone who is educated and erudite and focused."
Newsweek has contacted Walker for comment.
