Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is finally here, and with it comes the terrifying Inkquisitor. While there are already several difficult boss encounters for players to tackle, the Inkquisitor is an NPC that will undoubtedly provide a challenge for most. But before you can face off against the Inkquisitor, you must first track it down.

The Inkquisitor is unique in a few ways. First, it uses a variety of different weapons to quell its foes. Second, it will not spawn automatically. That means players must work to summon the Inkquisitor before jumping into combat. It isn't exactly clear how or where to do this in Fortnite during the Fortnitemares 2022 event. That's why we've got your back. Here's how to find and defeat the Inkquisitor in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

How to Find Inkquisitor in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

You'll need to summon the Inkquisitor manually if you want to fight it, but how do you go about doing that? Where on the map should you do it? Head to the Grim Gables and start from there. You'll find a spooky old house there that fits the old haunted mansion archetype. Head to the bottom floor, and you'll happen upon a mining shaft.

You'll know you're in the right place when you find a circle surrounded on all sides by candles. Simply start walking around the circle until you see the ground start to shake. You're actively summoning the Inkquisitor. It's a good idea not to do this unarmed, or at least have some weapons ready to bring the fight to the Inkquisitor, because this one's a tough encounter.

How to Defeat the Inkquisitor in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

First, make sure you have plenty of health before charging into this battle. You should have already outfitted yourself with the right equipment beforehand, but if not, now's the time to make sure you have everything you need to emerge victorious.

Here's what you're up against: a Mythic Suppressed SMG, Pumpkin Launcher and Firefly jars that can cause fire damage. Oh, and the Inkquisitor didn't come to play, because it's all hopped up on shields and additional health. You're going to be dealing with a lot here, but that doesn't mean you'll be down for the count immediately.

If you have the Mythic weapon Howler Claws, you might want to use those for their powerful melee attack. You'll also want to get out of the tighter, smaller area of the mining shaft to give yourself some space away from the Inkquisitor if you want to have any hope of defending yourself. Then, just go all out with attacking with all you have and be sure to dodge the more powerful attacks.

Your reward? You'll get the Inkquisitor's Mythic Suppressed SMG. And bragging rights don't hurt, either.
