Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert's ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, has taken to social media to explain when his arm was injured.
He broke his social media silence on Saturday after being charged with assault and other offenses in connection with two alleged domestic altercations, including an argument with the Republican congresswoman in a restaurant and a separate fight with their teenage son.
Jayson Boebert was uncooperative with police and had to be forcibly removed after the argument at the Miner's Claim restaurant in Silt, Colorado, on January 6. He was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal trespass and obstructing a peace officer.
Then on January 9, he allegedly grabbed a rifle after his teenage son called authorities. That led to him being charged with harassment, prohibited use of a weapon and third-degree assault. Lauren Boebert was not present during that incident.

On Saturday, Jayson Boebert updated his Facebook profile picture to an image of him holding up his baby grandson using one hand.
He responded to a comment asking whether his arm was "healing up." "Yes, finally," he wrote.
In another comment hours later, Jayson Boebert said that he had injured his arm around Thanksgiving last year.
"So someone on here seems to think my arm was recently injured," he wrote. "Hmmmm, for those people on my page leaking info to the media, that is false. I hope that you stop. My arm was injured around Thanksgiving time."
Newsweek has contacted Jayson Boebert for comment via Facebook. Lauren Boebert's office has also been contacted via email.
Regarding the altercation at the Miner's Claim, it was reported that Jayson Boebert called police to the restaurant in Silt after the argument with his ex-wife, saying he was the "victim of domestic violence." She told Newsweek in a statement at the time that it was "a sad situation for all that keeps escalating," but denied allegations that she had punched him.
Jayson Boebert later told The Denver Post that he did not want to press charges against his ex-wife. He also told another outlet that he was telling his ex-wife that he wanted to get back together and it "escalated," adding that he "should have handled it more responsibly."
Lauren Boebert has also said the confrontation with her ex-husband is one of the reasons that she was switching to Colorado's 4th Congressional District from the more competitive 3rd District. The move also means she avoids a rematch against Democrat Adam Frisch, who nearly beat her in 2022.
In her announcement, she said the move to a new district was a "fresh start" following "a pretty difficult year for me and my family." She filed for divorce from Jayson Boebert in May 2023 and it was finalized in October.
And in September, she and a date were kicked out of a performance of Beetlejuice after guests complained they were vaping, singing, using phones and causing a disturbance. Boebert initially denied wrongdoing, but later apologized after security footage seemingly showed her vaping and she and her date fondling each other.
