After a six-month wait, Lupin Part 2 is streaming now on Netflix. The five episodes start where Part 1's cliff-hanger left off, with Raoul (played by Etan Simon) kidnapped by Hubert Pellegrini's (Hervé Pierre) evil henchman Leonard. But what was Raoul's fate?

Does Raoul die in Lupin?

In the Part 1 finale of Lupin, Leonard's plans to kill Raoul's father Assane Diop (Omar Sy) did not go to plan. However, neither did Assane's plans to have him arrested.

Leonard was able to evade the French authorities, who let him go after they realized they had the wrong suspect in the Louvre robbery case.

None the wiser, Assane, who had been certain of his plan to have Leonard framed as the Louvre thief, continued his holiday on the beach of Étretat with his son Raoul and ex-partner Claire (Ludivine Sagnier).

However, things took a horrific and unexpected turn in the show's final moments.

Unknown to Assane and Claire, viewers watched on as their son was bundled to a car by the wicked Leonard and driven away from the beachfront.

Part 2 of Lupin opens with Assane and Claire searching frantically for their son.

Thankfully, Lupin-obsessed detective Youssef Guedira (Soufiane Guerrab) spotted Leonard driving off with a young boy who fit Raoul's description.

With Assane by his side, the pair finally manage to track down Leonard and Raoul to an abandoned house in the French countryside.

Thankfully, Raoul survives his kidnapping ordeal, but not before some traumatic scenes.

Leonard was able to lure Assane into the abandoned house in a bid to rescue his son.

After a brutal fist, gun, and sword fight that saw Leonard thrown from a window, Assane searched frantically for his son within the house.

However, the entire time it was revealed Raoul was being kept in the boot of a car, which Leonard sets on fire.

Throughout episode six of Lupin, Assane and viewers are convinced Raoul is trapped inside the burning car as his screams for his father ring out.

Thankfully, it is revealed Youseff heard Raoul's screams just in time and pulled him alive from the car, which had became engulfed in flames.

Assane agonized over the death of his son throughout episode two until Youseff revealed there was nothing and nobody was found in the boot of Leonard's car.

The abduction and near-death of Raoul sets up the events of Part 2, encouraging Assane to go after the one person Hubert holds close—his daughter Juliette Pellegrini.

Fans of Lupin can watch the entire second season via Netflix now to find out what happens next.

Lupin Part 1 and Part 2 are streaming on Netflix now.
