Millions have watched the heartwarming moment a wife pays off her husband's mortgage.

The viral clip was shared by @slaimanandkat and shows the moment husband Slaiman receives an email from his bank stating that half of his home loan has been paid. Initially, he believes there must be a mistake.

More than 17 million people have watched the video which has racked up 2.3 million likes since it was posted on November 5.

Newsweek spoke to a relationship expert about the importance of acts of kindness in a relationship.

The couple can be seen crying when wife Kate reveals there wasn't a mistake at the bank, and she made the payment.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, homeownership rates in the U.S. began at 65.3 percent in the first quarter of 2020 and ended at 65.5 percent by the fourth quarter of 2021.

As seen in the video, the man is speechless and over the moon after the random act of kindness from his spouse.

In the video, Kate points out that her partner does "so much" for her and he "deserves it." Previously, the couple posted a video of the moment Kate discovered Slaiman had paid off her college tuition.

Newsweek spoke to relationship expert and Wingman founder Tina Wilson about the importance of nice gestures when in a relationship.

She said: "Sometimes, it is the little things in relationships that matter. Simple actions such as saying thank you, greeting your partner, or asking if they have had a good day, go just as far as more significant gestures, such as buying flowers, a gift, or taking them to dinner.

"Smaller but consistent actions that the spouse considers as a nice thing to do for them will help to strengthen the bond between a couple. It shows there is mutual respect and love in the relationship. It can definitely have a positive effect on improving relationships and feeling more emotionally connected. Remember to also listen to your partner."
