You'd think that wedding planning would be the hardest part of getting married. Picking out a wedding gown, choosing a best man or maid of honor, determining the guest list and deciding to have steak or chicken (or both) at the reception are typically the most stressful and exhausting orders of business that need handling when two lovebirds decide to tie the knot. But for the couples of Married at First Sight's 11th season, it's everything that happens after the trip down the aisle that's the most challenging, simply because the newlyweds don't know much of anything about the person they've exchanged vows with.
So, when the third episode of the new season airs on Wednesday, getting to know each other will be at the top of the agenda for each of the new couples, and let's just say that won't be all that easy for some of the spouses.

After Karen broke down in tears during her vow-exchange with Miles in last week's episode, everyone was concerned that she might not go through with the marriage. Of course, she did end up exchanging "I do's" with Miles in the end, but in a Newsweek exclusive sneak peek of episode 3 (see above), Karen still seems to be a bit shaken by the day's events. And her icy demeanor causes Miles to worry if his being younger may have something to do with it.
"Is age a big factor for you?" Miles asks as they spend a little one-on-one time dining together at their wedding reception. "I was concerned [when] you were coming down the aisle that you were like, 'Oh, he's younger than me.' That was my first thought."
He continues: "I felt like you were older than me. The way you carried yourself. I was like, 'OK, she's grown.'"
Although Karen is four years older than him, it's not her age that has her feeling a bit standoffish. The 30-year-old bride assures her new husband that she can handle being the oldest in the relationship—it's "maturity" that matters the most to her. But later she explains that she still hasn't processed the fact that she's actually someone's wife.
"It hasn't fully hit me yet that I'm married," Karen says in a confessional. "It's like, I know that I'm a wife now, but I also don't know that I'm a wife now. I think it's going to be an adjustment just—I guess—saying it out loud, just because it is overnight and I've made this commitment to a stranger at the end of the day. He seems like a good guy, but until I really get to know him, I can't really say was this a good decision or not."
Surely Karen isn't the only person wondering if she made the right choice by agreeing to marry a stranger at first sight. But as the newlywed vibes continue to kick in, she loosens up a bit more and tells Miles, "We'll see how this goes."
Married at First Sight airs on Lifetime on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
