Not everyone is feeling the wedding bliss on the next episode of Married at First Sight. Actually, there may be a case of cold feet going around.
Last week on the Season 11 premiere, the soon-to-be newlyweds broke the news of their upcoming nuptials to their family and friends, and got mixed reactions. Now that the rings have been purchased and the wedding dresses have been picked, it's time for each cast member to hit the altar and finally meet the stranger they're destined to marry. But some couples may not make it through the wedding.
In a Newsweek exclusive sneak peek of MAFS Season 11, episode 2 (above), Karen will suffer a major meltdown when she finally makes it down the aisle to meet and marry Miles, the man relationship experts Dr. Viviana Coles, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Cal Roberson have chosen for her. Although the Baton Rouge-native Karen was initially excited to finally get married, it seems as though now that the time has come, she's suddenly having second thoughts: As soon as the officiant begins the vows process, Karen bursts into tears.
"These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years and—with the slightest touch—will comfort you like no other. That even years from now will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just one touch," the wedding officiant says.
Before the ceremony gets to the vow exchange, Karen breaks down into tears while Miles watches her with a solemn look on his face. "I'm sorry," Karen says.
Unsure of what his nearly new wife will do next, Miles hangs his head in fear of Karen potentially becoming a runaway bride.

If there's anyone at the wedding who would be glad to see Karen make a quick dash out of the church, it's probably her mother. When the 30-year-old consultant first told her mom of her plans to marry a total stranger as a part of the MAFS Season 11 experiment, her mother was not having it one bit.
"Have you lost your mind?" Karen's mom asked. "I know you've been talking about this, Karen, but I just didn't think it would even happen."
Calling it a "crazy" idea, Karen's mom thought the notion of her daughter marrying a complete stranger and hoping to fall in love after already going through with a wedding was "bizarre."
"You're still so young, baby, you still have a lot of time to find a life mate, and I don't know if this person that they've chosen for you is the right person. You don't know him. I don't know him. I really would rather for you to wait," Karen's mother said.
Married at First Sight airs on Lifetime on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
