'The Masked Singer' Fans Think They've Figured Out Miss Teddy's Identity

The Masked Singer Season 7 is well underway and already, five celebrities have been unmasked. The good news is, there are still 10 famous faces hiding under a range of masks from a teddy bear and Baby Mammoth to a Space Bunny and Firefly.

Each week, the contestants perform a hit song, with judges Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and the audience at home and in the studio guessing who is under the mask.

As the competition heats up, fans think they know who might be under the Miss Teddy mask. Newsweek has all of the clues below.

Who Is Miss Teddy? All of the Fan Theories

Miss Teddy will take to The Masked Singer stage tonight (Wednesday, April 6) and just one glimpse at the promo reveals panelist Scherzinger will be brought to tears by Miss Teddy's moving performance of "Tell Me You Love Me" by Demi Lovato.

The furry friend, who is part of Team Cuddly, made her Masked Singer debut last week during Episode 4 alongside Ringmaster, Armadillo, Hydra, and Lemur.

Miss Teddy survived the dreaded elimination round, with Lemur ultimately being the one to be unmasked. In a big surprise to fans of the show, it was supermodel Christie Brinkley disguised as Lemur.

Miss Teddy wowed the judges with her performance of "Tell It To My Heart" by Taylor Dayne and the panelists were quick to throw some big names into the ring.

For example, Scherzinger's guess was award-winning actress Loretta Devine while Thicke insisted singer CeCe Peniston was under the mask.

In some The Masked Singer fans' eyes, Scherzinger and Thicke may be onto something.

One fan tweeted: "Miss Teddy sounds like CeCe Peniston! This is what I immediately told my son when hearing the voice!!!" whilst another fan wrote: "Wholeheartedly agree Loretta Devine!!!"

The Masked Singer sleuths online have also been sharing their theories about who Miss Teddy could possibly be, with names such as Rosie O'Donnell and Kathie Lee Gifford being thrown into the mix.

Some Masked Singer fans believe Miss Teddy could be an actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy.

After all, the Bridesmaids star is fond of teddy bears. In 2015, she launched her own clothing line, Seven7, and she once created a replica of her favorite jumper from her collection for a teddy bear Christmas ornament.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "When Miss Teddy sang "Tell To My Heart" By @taylordayne During Her performance of @MaskedSingerFOX Tonight Wow I thought She did such A great & Amazing Job, I felt like dancing & I'm not sure But I'm getting comedian vibes Based on The clue, I'm thinking Maybe @melissamccarthy!!!"

In Miss Teddy's first clue video, she was standing next to a stuffed Santa, suggesting the famous face has a tie to Christmas in some shape or form.

The Santa clue has led some fans to suspect Broadway star and actress Loretta Devine is actually Miss Teddy as she is well-known for her role as Shirley in the film This Christmas.

For others, Dreamgirls star Jennifer Holliday is a name floating around online as fans have picked up on similarities between Miss Teddy and Holliday's voice.

Additionally, the Santa clue may be a play on her second name, Holliday.

One fan tweeted: "Jennifer Holliday. There were lots of Dreamgirls clues. The Santa is for holiday."

A second fan wrote: "This is undoubtedly Jennifer Holliday. There is no one else who sings like her or pronounces their words like her."

A third fan added: "Jennifer Holliday...I was in another room, didn't see the performance, only heard the voice...it is Jennifer Holliday!"

A director's chair with a smiley face was also seen in the video, suggesting she may be an actor or director.

Finally, Miss Teddy's clue video ended with a clip of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, which had the caption: "Lay your head down in December, the next thing you know, it's May."

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
