This week, my column analyzed the sprawling, very clearly coordinated disinformation operation against the U.S. Supreme Court that has unfolded over the last month and a half. From smear jobs in liberal outlets such as ProPublic and Politico to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's outrageous sham hearing two weeks ago on "ethics reform," what the late Andrew Breitbart famously referred to as the "Democrat-media complex" has kicked into overdrive with its menagerie of toothless hit pieces against the Court's right-leaning members and one right-leaning D.C.-area law school. My column argues that the clear goal of this disinformation operation, coming a year after the horrific and unprecedented leak in the Dobbs abortion case and on the precipice of potential blockbuster rulings on hot-button subjects such as affirmative action, is to cow the Court into submission—and to not-so-subtly threaten the justices with punitive measures, such as retributive court-packing, that would rob the Court of its independence and institutional integrity if successfully implemented.

This week, my podcast began with a robust defense against a recent senseless broadside from "BoomerCon" archetype and syndicated radio host Mark Levin, who attacked me by name on his show last Thursday for the alleged conservative sin of...supporting Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) 20 right-wing skeptics in early January, while they stalled McCarthy's fait accompli bid for the House speakership in order to extract meaningful concessions. Indeed, that strategy worked; McCarthy yielded on almost everything his detractors wanted. But Levin, like some other prominent BoomerCons, has totally lost the plot at this point. After that, Kurt Schlichter, the Los Angeles-based trial lawyer, Townhall senior columnist, and tweeter extraordinaire, joined for a very fun conversation about the 2024 GOP presidential primary, former President Donald Trump's shortcomings, Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) sensational record here in the Sunshine State, and the ever-looming (and harrowing) spectacle of degenerative wokeness infecting the U.S. military.
