Power may now be over, but Starz has announced that four spin-offs are coming to the network in the coming months. The last of these is Power Book V: Force, which will follow on from Tommy Egan's (played by Joseph Sikora) escape to California at the end of Power Season 6, Episode 13.

Sikora had previously teased that Tommy would be returning in his own series on his Instagram, but a teaser trailer after the Power series finale confirmed that the character would be back in Force.

When is Power Book V: Force out on Starz?

As the last of the five Power spin-off series, it could be some time before fans get to see the return of Tommy. The first spin-off of the Starz show is coming in summer 2020, meaning we are very unlikely to see Force until 2021 at the earliest.

One thing that could hold up the release of the series is Sikora's role on Ozark. He is joining the cast for Season 3, and depending on his character's fate on that show his filming commitments to Power Book V may have to line up with his work on the Netflix series.

This may be why they are keeping the Tommy spin-off until last, though we do know that the series is in development now, meaning shooting is likely to start in the next few months.

Who is in the cast of Power Book V: Force?

As with the majority of the Power spin-offs, we only have one confirmed cast member for Force: Joseph Sikora, returning in the role he has played since Season 1. And with most of Tommy's family and friends dead, with LaKeisha (La La Anthony) the latest person close to Tommy to die, Book V will need a lot of new cast members as the character adapts to Californian life.

One character certain to return, however, is Tommy's mother Kate (Patricia Kalember). In Power Season 6, Episode 13, the pair parted ways acrimoniously after Kate blamed him for killing Ghost (Omari Hardwick). Though she has effectively disowned her son, Force is sure to see her return.

What will happen in Power Book V: Force?

Per an interview with Sikora with the Chicago Sun-Times, the Tommy we see in the sequel could be a slightly different one to the one we are used to. He said: "He's lost everything. He is absolutely empty. He's a super shell of a man.

"I think the exciting part about that, if there was a continuation for Tommy, was: How is he going to fill that shell back up and what becomes of that man? Just like when they say you can never go home again, can you ever really be the same person again? It's a lot of questions that we end up with."

His interview with Blackfilm provided a few more hints: "I think that Tommy goes through his life and he sees that everybody that he is loved has either disowned him or is dead. So to go from that place, it's really a tough place to make it back from. So I think that the exciting part would be to watch how he would make it back. If he would make it back, how far he would get and how he would play the game."

The last time we saw Tommy, he was on his way to California, and the glimpse of his Mustang in the Power spin-offs trailer seems to suggests this is where we will pick up with him at the start of Force.

Power Book V: Force is coming soon to Starz.
