Stephen Boss—best known as 'tWitch'—has died at the age of 40, his wife Allison Holker Boss has announced.
Holker, his wife of nine years, confirmed the news of Boss's death in a statement to People on Wednesday, December 14.
She said: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into.
"He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."

Holker continued: "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory.
"We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you."
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Officer has ruled the cause of death as suicide.
Police had been called to a LA Motel on Tuesday, December 13, where Boss was found, reported The New York Times.
Family and Career
Boss was best known for his stellar dancing career and his role as Ellen Degeneres' sidekick and DJ on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
Boss met his Holker on an all-star season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2010.
Together they had two children together Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3 and Boss became a stepfather to Holker's daughter Weslie, 14.
In a past interview with People, Holker fondly recalled the moment she and Boss met.
She gushed: "There was no dialogue, there was no conversation or a first hangout. Literally, we danced and we were together holding hands the very next day."
In a 2022 interview with People, Holker added she knew she had found her "forever person" in Stephen. "Three weeks into us dating, I told him that he was my one," she said. "I was so confident."
Speaking with Jennifer Hudson on her daytime show in November 2022, Boss and Holker spoke about their desire to have more children.
Holker said: "I think we would love to start trying for another one," with Boss adding: "We do. I love the little babies, I love them. It's a constant conversation."

They often posted adorable videos of their family or as a duo dancing and recently stepped onto the red carpet together at the Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Black Cinema & Television on Monday, December 5.
Boss's last social media post was with Allison on Sunday where they performed a choreographed dance in the living room in front of their Christmas tree.
The day before that, he posted a moving tribute to his wife on their nine-year wedding anniversary.
Holker also celebrated their anniversary online, sharing a video reel of the couple on their wedding day.
Alongside the clip she wrote: "It's our 9th anniversary!! I couldn't be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU #happyanniversary #bosswedding2013."
Boss began his career as a dancer in the movies Blades of Glory and Hairspray and shot to fame as a runner-up on So You Think You Can Dance in 2008. One of his routines was nominated for an Emmy for Best Choreography and he returned to the long-running series in 2022 as a judge.
Boss also had a successful acting career, appearing in Step Up alongside Channing Tatum and again in Magic Mike XXL.
He was a staple part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show since 2014 as her Dancing DJ and in 2020, he was promoted to executive producer.
Boss also co-hosted Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings with his wife.
