After ordering tacos from a local restaurant, a woman living in West Palm Beach was left stunned—and hungry—when her dinner was stolen by a gang of cunning raccoons.
Caught on camera by Caterina Sevares, the footage of the bizarre moment has since become an internet sensation, racking up over 2 million views on TikTok.
The heist took place at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, when Severas ordered dinner through DoorDash and stepped into the shower. Little did she know she would soon be dealing with an unexpected dinner guest.
"I opened the door to a raccoon with a taco in its mouth," Sevares told Newsweek, with a mix of shock and amusement. "I closed the door and went back to grab my phone cause there was no way I wasn't filming this."

The video captures the raccoon munching away on the stolen tacos, having chewed through the bottom of the delivery bag and delving into the boxes, devouring every last morsel of carne asada filling, leaving only the tortillas behind.
Sevares, who has lived in the apartment building for five years, had never encountered such a brazen food thief. "I live on the second floor, so they had to have stalked the DoorDasher," she said, stunned.
Despite the initial shock, Sevares found humor in the situation. "After I took the video, I closed the door and just let them have the rest," she chuckled. "They never ate the tortillas. Everyone in the comments says how skinny they are, but clearly they aren't that starving if they didn't eat the carbs."
The video pans from the ripped food bag and back to one of the raccoons who is undeterred and still trying to get hold of the food. As the video continued, he even appeared to "square up" to Sevares, determined to finish his meal.
"When the main one stood up, his cohorts in the back started hissing, so that's when I closed the door," Sevares explained.
In more than 4,000 comments, people shared their reactions to the theft.

"Raccoons knowing about DoorDash is wild," joked one commenter. While another said: "I'd be laughing and mad at the same time."
The local restaurant Sevares ordered the Mexican meal from, Talkin' Tacos, caught wind of the viral video and reached out to her, offering her a gift card to make up for her missed meal. DoorDash also credited her for the order that she didn't get to eat.
"They offered me a gift card and said anytime I want tacos it's on them," Sevares said. "Which was so sweet because I never got to actually eat them, and I always wanted to try that place."
Since the raccoon raid, the video has been shared across social media, giving others a reminder that food sitting on the doorstep may not always be safe.
