Gotham Knights gives players four heroes to play as, as well as multiple suits to unlock and equip. Each suit comes with different options like defense, power and other stats, and knowing how to unlock more suits is going to be key to keeping your character beefed up and strong enough to take on the various enemies in the latest game set within the Batman universe.

With Gotham Knights' release date finally here, it's time for players to step into the shoes of Nightwing, Red Hood, Bat Girl and Robin to take down the criminal underworld in Gotham City. Following a tragedy involving the Caped Crusader, players need to step up and overcome various challenges and foes lurking in the shadows.

There are two main ways for players to unlock new suits in Gotham Knights. One of the easiest methods is just to play through the game. As you complete missions and activities, you'll automatically be able to unlock new suits that you can equip for a power boost. Playing the main story quests is one of the most appealing ways for many players—but you can also craft new suits.

You can check your blueprints at any point from the Belfry, and then you'll need to gather different materials based on what the blueprint calls for. You'll be swapping out between gear sets often in Gotham Knights, especially as you play through the main story. As such, it's recommended to hold off on crafting suits until you know you're reaching a slowdown point for new unlocks.

Thankfully, you don't have to settle for the look of a suit that you found. You can also use the game's Transmog system to change up the look for that of another, more iconic suit. This is a nice way to let you upgrade your gear often while still sporting the look that you prefer to run with.

Those looking forward to jumping into Gotham Knights right at release will be happy to learn that they can play the game at midnight local time as early as October 21. For more details, be sure to check out Newsweek's guide on when you can play Gotham Knights.

The game will be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles and on PC, so you'll have more than enough ways to jump into the action. And, because it supports two-player cooperative gameplay, you can always have a friend jump in and join you in the fun, too.
