Batman fans will no doubt be jumping into Gotham Knights when it releases on October 21, 2022. But, when they do, they'll need to pick up on a few things very quickly. First, you can unlock new suits to increase your hero's overall power. This is vital for staying on top of the action in Gotham Knights.

Secondly, you can join up with friends at any point during the campaign to explore the city together and take on criminals as a team. And, finally, with four distinctly different characters to choose from, you can always switch characters to take on different types of combat, use different gadgets, and change up the game's cutscenes a little bit.

Gotham Knights gives players four different characters to choose from. Red Hood, Robin, Bat Girl, and Nightwing are all distinct in their own ways. They each play differently, offering special ways to get around the city, as well as unique suits, gadgets, and fighting styles. While that's all made very apparent at the start of the game, something that isn't is that you can actually switch between the characters at any time.

To switch characters in Gotham Knights, players are going to want to make their way to the Belfry. This location acts as the main hub for the game's heroes, allowing them to craft new things, upgrade their abilities, and even learn more about each other. Once you're in the Belfry, you can approach the suits mounted on the mannequins off to the right of the exit (or the left of the exit if you're looking at it).

Simply approach the suit of the character that you wish to switch to, and then press the prompted button to quickly swap out to them. This makes it easy to switch between Red Hood, Bat Girl, Nightwing, and Robin, and when you swap, you'll unlock access to additional cutscenes and dialogue between each of the characters to help build out their relationships.

And, since Gotham Knights offers co-op gameplay at the time of its official release, you and a friend can swap between the other available characters to choose a combination that works well together.
