'DWTS' Cast Revealed

A new slate of dancers has entered the ballroom for Dancing with the Stars, and for the most part they're all stars. (Because we all know the term "star" should be used lightly when a convicted con artist is in the mix. More on that in a moment.)

But let's start with the bona fide stars, shall we? Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling will be competing for the mirror ball alongside Academy Award-nominated actor Eric Roberts (also brother of Julia Roberts and father of Emma Roberts), and Housewives and Traitors star Phaedra Parks.

On the athletic front, this season is stacked with some big names. The Clark Kent of the Olympics, a.k.a. gymnastics bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik, will compete alongside fellow Olympian rugby star Ilona Maher, former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola and former NBA star Dwight Howard.

Rounding out the cast is The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei, The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran, actor Reginald VelJohnson best known for his role as the dad on Family Matters, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Brooks Nader, and Pretty Little Liars: Summer School star Chandler Kinney.

Oh wait, I forgot the con artist. Anna Delvey, best known for scamming people out of their money to fund her lavish lifestyle, which was depicted in the Netflix series Inventing Anna, is also in the mix as proof that in the United States of America literally anybody can be a "star."

My money is Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik for the win. He's a gymnast, so clearly, he knows rhythm, and athletes have a great track record on Dancing with the Stars. He might not have gotten the gold medal, but maybe he can get the mirror ball?

Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars premieres September 17 on ABC and Disney+.

Here's what else is poppin' in the world of pop culture...

  • CBS just announced season 47 of Survivor. The cast looks so good and it's not all just young people (something I love).

  • Apparently, there's a fake contract circulating online that reveals that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's romance is a sham and even includes a date when they can break up. Kelce's team is all over getting that rumor squashed, and frankly, it's so obviously fake. I mean, do you know how many concerts that man went to? Concerts packed with screaming teenagers! Like, that's love y'all.

  • The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran couldn't find love this season, which is probably why she's moving on to Dancing with the Stars. The finale of this season of The Bachelorette found Tran being turned down by Devin after Tran proposed. (That's gotta sting.)

  • Finally, it's Beyoncé's birthday. That isn't news, but I still felt it important to share with you.

That's it for me today! Keep scrolling for more entertainment news. I'll see you this Friday.

Katy Perry Breaks Silence on Working With Dr. Luke After Sparking Criticism

By Shannon Power

Pop star Katy Perry spoke publicly about working with producer Dr. Luke after he was accused of sexual misconduct.

Dr. Luke—whose given name is Łukasz Gottwald—is a veteran music producer and record label owner who has worked with major stars such as Avril Lavigne, Kim Petras, and Britney Spears. But he is perhaps best known for accusations made against him by singer Kesha in 2014. He denied the allegations. Kesha left her record label and recording contract with his Kemosabe Records after a 10-year battle and Dr. Luke then sued Kesha for defamation, which they settled out of court in June 2023.

Perry and Dr. Luke worked together on some of her biggest tracks including "I Kissed a Girl" and "California Gurls." But following Kesha's allegations, many music artists, especially women, were called on not to work with Dr. Luke.
