Joe Rogan Called Out After Amy Poehler Podcast Surpassed His on Spotify

There have been a few things I've been obsessed with in the past few days, and one of them is this: Joe Rogan might be the king of podcasting, but there's a queen waiting in the wings looking to dethrone him. Yes, it's true, that's because Amy Poehler's new podcast, Good Hang, dethroned Joe Rogan's The Joe Rogan Experience as the number one podcast on Spotify in recent weeks. While Rogan shouldn't be concerned – he's still making millions – it's good to see some actual competition in the space.

The other thing I was obsessed over this weekend might surprise you because it's (gasp) sports related. (I know, who am I? What's going on?!) But CBS' Sunday Morning had an interview with Bill Belichick, who I recently learned is a very popular NFL coach, formerly with the New England Patriots. He was on to promote his new memoir, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, but the interview quickly became about his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. CBS' Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick about the relationship and the large age difference (Belichick is 73, Hudson is 24), at which point Hudson said off-camera, "We're not talking about this." But guess what? Because of that moment, we're very much talking about it. (Also, can someone teach me sports?)

Finally, there's a shirt Pedro Pascal and a bunch of other celebs have been wearing popping up all over social media that says, "Protect the Dolls." If you've been wondering what that's about, here you go: According to People, the shirt is a campaign by American designer Conner Ives to increase awareness about violence against transgender women. Proceeds from the shirt benefit Trans Lifeline.

OK, that's it for me today. I'll be back on Wednesday! Keep scrolling!

Dynamic Duo Paris Texas Is Rocking Hip-Hop and 'Just Having Fun'

By Devin Robertson

"Sometimes fire a** bars is funny. That's what makes them hard."

Paris Texas is a raucous duo comprised of Louie Pastel and Felix, ushering in the new vanguard of hip-hop. Their grunge-infused jams seamlessly blend energetic guitar riffs with effortlessly witty and layered lyricism. Their penchant for experimentation breathes life into their enthralling visuals that weave outlandish tales that include things like conjoined twins being separated by a magic sword or those same twins being compelled to commit crimes by a sentient gun. The duo joined Grammy-award-winning artist and hip-hop tastemaker Tyler, the Creator on the Chromakopia tour, where they continue to make their ascent to stardom thanks to their chaotic and frenetic performances.

Newsweek sat with the duo on their break from the world tour to talk about their origin, musical inspiration, creative collaborations, and their decision to drop two EPs, They Left Me with a Sword and They Left Me with a Gun, a week apart back in February.
