'You' Season 5: Talking to Penn Badgley

Are we excited for the fifth and final season of Netflix's You? Yes. But also like, do we want it to end? No.

Because of this excitement, I just had to chat with Penn Badgley about Joe Goldberg's twisted evolution and the shocking elements of the final season. You can listen to that chat on Newsweek's Parting Shot podcast.

He opened up about the psychological toll of playing TV's most lovable stalker, what fans can expect from the show's explosive conclusion, and how it feels to finally say goodbye to one of the most complicated characters on television. Spoilers? Not really. Fascinating? Definitely.

(Oh, and yes, we talk about the parallels between Gossip Girl and You. Oh, and how Penn got his start playing a bully on Will & Grace. So yeah, you're gonna wanna listen to this episode).

That's it for me today, but keep scrolling for more entertainment news. (I've got a chat with Survivor's favorite muscle man, David Kinne, below that you're going to want to watch)/

Hulu Series Shines Spotlight on Natalia Grace's 2019 Interview With Dr. Phil

By Jenna deJong

The latest episode of Hulu's Good American Family has reignited public interest in a 2019 interview between Dr. Phil McGraw and Natalia Grace, the Ukrainian-born orphan at the center of a controversial adoption case. The series' penultimate episode revisits the case, highlighting the televised exchange that drew national scrutiny and deepened the public's fascination with Natalia's complicated story.

In the Dr. Phil episode, Natalia appeared on camera to address accusations by her former adoptive parents, Kristine and Michael Barnett, who claimed she was not a child but an adult woman posing as a minor. The Good American Family installment shows a portion of that interview, where McGraw asks Natalia if she was a child or an adult.
