'RuPaul's Drag Race' Final Four on Growth, Gowns and Grit: 'We Already Made It'

This season of RuPaul's Drag Race has been so much fun! It was that perfect mix of great queens, drama, and ultimately talent. And the top 4 finalists of Season 17 are probably some of the best top 4 finalists in reason years. Which is why I'm so excited for my exclusive chat with Onya Nurve, Lexi Love, Sam Star and Jewels Sparkles.

"You've already made it. You're already a winner," Onya Nurve told me. "This is just one more opportunity out of the 14 or 15 that we've already had to show the judges that you're worthy for the crown."

"I'm so hard on myself when it comes to stuff like this," Jewels Sparkles said about preparing for the finale. "But I looked at it like, this is my last time that I can show the world who Jewels Sparkles is."

"You had your choreography, you knew your lyrics," Sam Star also said about the finale. But ultimately Star feels, "you just believe in yourself and sort of have a trust fall into the universe."

Speaking of the season as a whole, Lexi Love is most grateful for her own personal growth. "I'm no longer as tainted by maybe my past perception of myself," she said. "I just have a wider lens now, and it's a lot nicer."

Watch or listen to my full chat with the top 4 finalists of Season 17 of RuPaul's Drag Race on the Parting Shot Podcast. And let me know what you think of the finale! I'm @HAlanScott on everything.

That's it for me today! I'll see you on Monday. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news. (Including my fantastic chat with Chrissy from Survivor 48!)

Chicago Firefighter Chrissy Sarnowsky Reflects on Her Survivor 48 Journey

By H. Alan Scott

For Chicago firefighter Chrissy Sarnowsky, the stakes on Survivor 48 were never just about winning a million dollars—they were about standing her ground. (But the million dollars was still the goal.) On a season packed with physically dominant players and fast-forming alliances, the firefighter quickly emerged as an underdog fan favorite for her no-nonsense attitude and refusal to play passive.

Sarnowsky's viral appeal started early, fueled by her quick wit, unapologetic authenticity, and a commitment to calling things like she saw them. But her straightforward style also made her a target. She ultimately became the season's second jury member—outmaneuvered by power players, but never outmatched in fire.

In an exclusive interview with Newsweek, Sarnowsky opened up about her chaotic exit, why she threw caution to the wind at tribal council, and what it meant to represent the picked-last-in-gym-class crowd against a cast of what she called "superhuman" competitors.
