Wendy Williams Appears on 'The View'

Wendy Williams is in a battle for her livelihood, and she's taking her plea to the women of The View.

In a pre-taped conversation, with Williams appearing by phone, the former talk show host talked about her ongoing conservatorship battle with the judge in her case and her appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

"I'm a global, international media person, from radio to television. I've been doing important things all of my life, and these two people don't look like me, they don't dress like me, they don't talk like me, they don't act like me, and I venture to say they will never be me," Williams said about the judge and Morrissey. "I can't do it with these two people again. I can't. And I'm speaking of the guardian and the judge. I need a new guardian."

Earlier this week, police reportedly performed a wellness check on Williams after she threw a note from her New York apartment window that read, "Help! Wendy!!" She was taken to hospital.

"I just needed a breath of fresh air. I needed to see the doctors, so, that's why I went to the hospital," she said, adding that she requested an independent psychiatric evaluation and bloodwork. "It was my choice to get an independent evaluation on my incapacitation."

Listen, I hope this leads to a change for her, because I've been a fan of Williams since her radio days. Her talk show moments are the language of so many of my friendships. To quote Williams herself, "She's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment."

That's it for me today! I'll be back on Monday with more. Until then, keep scrolling for more entertainment news.

Steven Soderbergh's 'Black Bag' Blends Spies, Secrets and Romance

By Janee Bolden

In Black Bag, espionage isn't just a job—it's a way of life. Steven Soderbergh's latest thriller blurs the lines between professional duty and personal entanglement, delivering a sleek, high-stakes narrative where loyalty is tested as much between the sheets as it is in the field.

At the center of the film are Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett as George Woodhouse and Kathryn St. Jean, a married pair of elite spies whose chemistry is as explosive as their assignments. In the first moments of the film, Woodhouse is assigned to find a traitor among his ranks after a lethal weapon known as "Severus" is stolen from the intelligence agency. His list of suspects includes just five names and one of them is his wife's. What follows is a frantic search to discover which of the parties closest to him is the guilty one, while being torn between protecting his wife and honoring his duties.

During a conversation with Newsweek, Fassbender described his and Blanchett's electric on-screen connection as something they didn't overthink.
